Question, how in the hell do you identify your sentence as sarcasm, obviously when you’re reading something you can’t really tell the emotion behind it, without the use of words associated with said emotion. So the other guy’s r/woooosh was justified.

I know Sakurai said not to expect Subspace from World of Light, but I was at least hoping for... something more.
Same. World of Light is the epitome of disappointment.
Game & Stuff eh, the only disappointing thing is not much cutscenes, side scrolling stages, and original enemies
It's all about expectations. The last Smash game I ever played before Ultimate was Melee and I loved World of Light.
I mean I really didn't suspect that much since he literally had about 3 years at most to create the game and creating something to the extent of Brawl was a little bit to the extreme, especially when the longer development of Smash 4 almost cripled his hand. Plus Ultimate has so much to offer that I think World of Light was more of a casual side of an extra mode that follows with the spirits section. Sakurai didn't need a fleshed-out story mode and after what he learned from Subspace didn't want to make it once more.
But I just think that Sakurai needs a break before needing to make a story mode.
Still that's just my opinion
I actually prefer World of Light’s gameplay of endless fights referencing the series’ games, but it’s really the story and cutscenes and watching all the characters interact with each other that I miss the most from SSE.
Stuff like watching Peach breaking up a fight with tea or Diddy dragging a disgruntled Fox/Falco along for the ride or Mario/Link becoming murderous at seeing their princess attacked or Bowser beating the snot out of Ganondorf in trophy form as revenge among countless other things are just stuff you’ll never be able to see anywhere else but Smash, and they help give the character such distinct personalities and motivations. Almost all of World of Light’s characterisation happens in the opening cutscene and it’s a pittance compared to Subspace.
Let’s hope ZeRo doesn’t share the fate of Parsecs last sponsorship.

Subspace Emissary on intense difficulty probably would have been impossible to beat with just one person. Better watch out Enel, these enemies can be cheaper than you think.

In the casual sense, he isn't wrong.
Brawl was one of the best of the smash games for casual play in respect to different game modes like classic mode, all-star mode, break the targets, home run contest, boss battles, event match (Single and duo), and multi-man brawl. And it doesn't count special brawl, stage creator, trophies and coin launcher, or the beloved adventure and story mode "The Subspace Emissary".
Four (Wii U and 3ds) was fair though it didn't have the side scrolling mode and the original break the targets was cut along with smash run not being in the Wii U version (Which it should have been.) It actually did other modes quite well.
Ultimate in fact in a casual prospective, wasn't that ultimate. Not saying it's bad, it's not but I feel it panders more to the competitive crowd and modes involving spirits can be a bit repetitive and dull after a while.
I would do ANYTHING for Subspace Emissary Remastered.

Subspace was the best story mode for smash. What I want in Ultimate is DLC for World of Light and go back to the Subspace concept with just as many beautiful cutscenes with character dialogue and interactive levels.
Subspace Emissary on Intense is more like find cheap strategies for the stages (don't be afraid of having to use the retry option if you die) and for bosses learn as fast as you can their attacks and their (sorta...) patterns, like some robots that look like knights you need to focus on attacking the helmet and then the light, heck, even you can make the enemies go out of the screen to make them kill themselves (obviously that doesn't work against bosses).
I beat Intense SSE as well, but solo. It was crazy, took me a month of consistent playing. But Tabuu was probably the easiest part, the attacks hit hard but were simple to avoid except the golden brackets, which were basically an auto-stock (except for that one time I teched it lol).

You do know Sakurai and his team are people right? The man gets every character back for ultimate. WoL was a way to add a story mode without having to put in too much time.

I guess considering the scope Ultimate was aiming at, addind such mode with shit ton of content would up the cost and time of the production. Honestly, i don't think the devs just gave up in it because it would be too much work.
I still remember the day when I first saw smash bros, I walked over to my friends house, his mom let me in, and I walked into his room. He was playing brawl and he had just unlocked rob in the subspace emissary and he was freaking out and smacking the tv. We were in elementary at the time, and we just graduated this summer

If I could play Subspace Emissary with the mechanics of literally any Smash game other than Brawl, I would be so down to play it again.
Once you put the Minecraft title theme over the merch advertising, it suddenly became much more appealing.

I want Subspace emissary 2 as DLC in smash ultimate. I would 100% buy it. Plus a problem in Brawl was Sonic when they threw him in at the last cut scene because he wasn't originally planned to be in the game. But if they release subspace 2 AFTER all the characters come out, then it's no problem

Does Parsec works with games that were only online multiplayer games? Like games that got their servers down or it works only with local multiplayer games ?
