I also same camera, I am building my own rig, and today I got my V-mount battery with several ports to charge but!!!!! the camera does not turn on, I tried with a C cable and nothing, then with USB and nothing. I tried the C-type cable the camera came with and nothing. I am not sure anymore what's the issue. Any insight? Did you have the same issues? I even turn on the power supply in the menu. Thanks BTW I have the same battery company.
I don’t think that you need the external battery/matte box etc… for gimbal. You can just go with camera body + lens and put the monitor attached to the handle of the gimbal

You don't use a dummy battery? You connect the battery directly in usb-c port on the camera?

Tbh i got the xt4 and i dont plan on use AF, so i think ima stick with manual and a nice rig. Cant wait to wait 5 years to make one 😢😂

So do you have a battery inside the camera or not? Try with battery + UsB-C charging and see if this works

When using this on set, I usually record it externally with a boom
