There is another way to do it. This didn't work for me but by going to: Your applications and right clicking on show package contents and pasting the folder directly into the transitions folder etc. By typing on your on the search bar in Final Cut Pro X contents. And pasting it directly into that folder titled "TRANSITIONS" or "EFFECTS" etc. Hope this helps cheers!

Hey Brad, I have a question regarding key framing. I have key frames on the focus, prism and transform effects to create a bass hit effect to the beat of a drum. I want to copy and paste all 3 levels key frames under the video animation option when double clicking on the clip > show animation. Is it possible to copy and paste the key frames from every effect at once, or do I have to do each one separately? Thank you and keep the good work up (:
Unfortunately not. You would have to do each one separately. My advice though, is to add your effects and keyframes to an adjustment layer and then just copy and paste the adjustment layer every time you want to have that bass hit effect. I hope that helps! 😄🤞🏼

You can create the folder structure that you see manually and Final Cut Pro should be able to read the plugins, transitions, etc that you out in there.

I am still unable to see my plugins. Ive tried everything, I'm installing a motion blur from Ryan Nangle and it only pops up under titles, nothing else.
Any plugins that are created as adjustment layers will be in your Titles Browser. If they are not there and they are only in the Effects browser, you can add a blank adjustment layer on top of your footage and then add the effect to that adjustment layer.
I just updated my M1 to 13.2 and now a lot of my motivation vfx plug ins are not working. How do I fix those? I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still didn’t work. Please help.
Did you do a Time Machine backup so you can revert back to the previous working version of MacOS? If not and reinstalling doesn’t help, I’d recommend reaching out to MotionVFX’s support team. They should be able to get them all up and running again 😄👍🏼
The easiest way to get to the folder for effects presets (or custom presets) is to right-click on any existing preset and choose "Reveal in Finder". That will take you to the folder. The path is Library > Application Support > ProApps > Effects Presets

Hey Darryl. If they are super old (and depending on how they were made) they might not be compatible with FCP 10.7.1. You could potentially open them up in Apple Motion if you have it to see if you can get them working and then you can save them as a new version. Alternatively, I'd suggest reaching out to Cineflare directly to see if they can help.
Thank you for this clear video Brad! But my transitions won’t displayed in my “Transitions” in Final Cut Pro. It shows your folder but when I click on that item it will show nothing. I'm not sure if you can choose to move the FxFactory effects to another drive. FCP needs any effects to be installed in specific folders on the internal drive.
Is it possible to install transitions and plugins in general on a cracked version of final cut 10.5? I noticed with my cracked version my motions template folder is completely empty.. please give me some advice thank you

The only advice I can give is that it’s best not to use a cracked version. 👍🏼

You might need to show your hidden files. If that folder already exists, you might be able to just copy the effects into that existing folder.

That doesn't sound right? Have you tried rendering them and then playing them back? Or do they appear glitchy after export?

@@talmadgespicer4201 Awesome! Yeah because of the blur, it uses a lot of CPU power and doesn't always playback nicely without rendering. 👍🏼

What effect is it? That sounds like a licensing issue with the plugin you’re using.

There is another way which is slightly more complicated but worth trying. @Mike*Star commented it here earlier. “By going to: Your applications and right clicking on show package contents and pasting the folder directly into the transitions folder etc. By typing on your on the search bar in Final Cut Pro X contents. And pasting it directly into that folder titled "TRANSITIONS" or "EFFECTS" etc.”

Hello I was wondering if u can help to know why when I go into the motion template folder under movies it actually empty so it didn’t show an transition folder
That’s weird. Those folders should have been created when you installed Final Cut Pro. 🤔 You could probably create them manually.
@@Brad_West yeah and I just reinstalled the app same thing I be wondering everytime I follow a Final Cut tutorial there stuff I can’t find 😩
@colours456 did you do a fresh install from the App Store or are you copying the app from another computer? A fresh install from the App Store would be best.
I just updated my OS and I have this same issue - my motion templates folder is completely empty!
