I can’t tell you how weird it was to see the RAF red arrows fly over my school on the west coast of America with no context. I literally could not believe my eyes and it happened in the one class I have outside
As a aircraft mechanic at Miramar, it was great seeing you guys at our airshow. I got an opportunity to speak to some of the red arrows maintainers after the airshow and they all seemed like great guys. I even got to see myself In this video😂
It was a total treat I can proudly say I’ve seen all 4 top display teams. I really never thought I would see the red arrows it was a dream come true. I’ll never forget it

I hope Bidon remembers that when ever there is any fighting to do that it's the British that are always beside them as we are having trouble with the EU and anything we do they are putting it down and I am afraid the French do not have much of reputation for fighting and even going forwards, and a lot of American soldiers say that there is no one in the world they would rather have beside them and watching there backs than the British Tommy ,and although we have respect for the French resistance it is often forgotten that the French let Paris be taken without a shot being fired and surrendered with 2 million men still in arms and one thing they dont lik mentioned is Vishy ?the half of France that colaberated with the Narzis and were even give there Navy to the Germans, so Winston Churchill said to them take your ships to a neutral port of Scuttle them or bring them over to our side and help fight the Nazi's who are occupying your country ?but they would not do it and the French Navy was very big and couldn't be allowed to fall into German hands so it left Churchill no choice other than to sink it ,but the French do not like being reminded about these things.

If it wasn’t for those brave Frenchmen we would have gotten barely 30,000 back instead of the 300,000. Yes they did, especially the bit about short range of the chosen version by the brits, the "B" model. Reminiscent of the Spitfire, EE Lightning and original Harrier all able to carry a couple of grenades around the air field then have to land cos of low on fuel. Remember watching Red Arrows train out of RAF Valley as and 12 year old Canadian kid in 1972. My Father and 6 other fathers, members of the Canadian Armed Forces were posted to Ty Croes army Base. Our home was the Hive in Rhosneigr Anglesey for the 2 years my father worked on new missile technology with British Army. Our home was just above what then was the Bay Shore Hotel, just off the beach. From living room window we could look over at the RAF Valley airport. Was great to watch all the jets of the day coming and going. Surprised one morning to look down at the beach and see one of the Red arrow planes floating in the surf. If I remember correctly pilot bailed out and was ok. Great display team.
I've seen them training dozens of times, and it never gets old. Always fantastic to watch. Just like the song, Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines.
I loved jets since i was a little kid, when i was about 8-10 on my birthday we were all out in the garden playing and eating cake when the Red Arrows flew DIRECTLY overhead at a very low altitude, probably on their way to an air show. it was one of the coolest things to happen on one of my birthdays.
I saw the Red Arrows many times growing up, the best was in Broadstairs, Kent, when they gave everyone a heart attack by coming from behind really low over the cliffs of the promenade we were viewing from. Was brilliant, I've never forgotten it and never will. Amazing pilots and skills

UK is the new home now and have tremendous respect for the country and their professionalism and sporting attitude..the Red Arrows is my most fav and proud owner of Citizen Limited Edition Red Arrows watch and the model plane .they go wherever I am..aviation love!
My sister moved to Lincoln a few years ago from Sheffield an she said seeing red arrows fly by is the only good thing about Lincoln apparently u get all sorts of jets flying by

Kind of bummed theres no footage from Toronto but seeing the thunderbirds and arrows for the first time in person was amazing. I'm partial to the snowbirds, being canadian and all, so when they perform together its a special show.

Its because we don’t use reserve pilots. We have to maintain being the best in the world. Having a reserve pilot would not be up to the same standard. However red 10 is an ex red arrows pilot that helps the reds understand what they need to do, they also fly a spare hawk and they are allowed to fly as a reserve.

Back in the 80s my Dad flew with the RAAF Roulettes on the MB-326 and they had a yank exchange guy,. Years later we went to the states to visit him while he was back with USAF and went to an air show (I think Portland) where Dads mate displayed a USAF jet then the Blue Angles showed up. Dad and his yank mate were talking after about how they didn't actually do anything other than formation passes and formation loops, no formation rolls or anything special. All I remember was they were loud as hell and music was playing, crowd going wild. But the display itself was fairly basic and quick.

The more air display teams the better. I grew up watching our USN Blue Angels and i just love these type of shows. So impressive

I honestly don't think the Blue Angels can even compare, I've seen both and in my opinion the angels are a lot more boring than the arrows.

You're comparing apples and oranges. The jets they 2 teams use are designed and optimized for different tasks.
