    We were moored right over by you guys for about 2 months - dinghied past you guys more than a few times. About to order the same unit and came upon your video. Thanks for this install video.

    I installed the same unit a couple months ago. I agree about instructions on paper. Very vague on several issues. The one problem I have come across is that at 850 psi I only get around 25 gah. I can’t seem to figure out the issue so I will have to contact customer support. Other than the one issue, it’s a great addition to my boat. Been in boot key harbor for about six weeks and watching everyone make trips to the dock for water makes it a valid investment. Oh yeah congrats on the new boat. Hope you have many adventures ahead.

      Glad to hear you’re liking it still! As far as the output, I know it can vary based on the water you start with. I’d be very curious to hear their response when you hear back from them 🤔 Thanks so much for watching! - J

    Great job on the install! You used way fewer “colorful” words than Frank did when he put ours in! 😂

      We’ve just gotten better at editing out colorful words 😆

      Thanks - it’s one of the most important pieces of equipment to add to a boat.

    Nice job. Are there any issues to worry about by installing outside of the cabin space? I am planning on putting it in the captains hole which is never used. I have a 2015 leopard 48. Tim

    Have you considered a solar hot water panel? I’m a little geeked-out with these units. Would love to see an install video for one of those.

      I’m really hoping we can run the water heaters when we get the inverter installed 🤞🏼 But if not, we might look into that! Thanks for the tip - J

    I would put some rubber feet on the motor so that it doesn't rattle the bukhead while it runs.
    a nice install overall. Oh never fill your tank with Chlorinated water at a marina and then do a freshwater flush....say goodbye to the membrane then...

      Good tip on the rubber feet! So true on the chlorine. It’s death to filters!

      The carbon filter removes the chlorine for the freshwater flush.

    I just ordered the same system for my boat. It's on the way. Can you tell me what you had to do to stop the leak in the regulator. Thanks for the great video, I'm your newest subscriber

      Hey there! Congrats on the new system 😀 and thanks for subscribing. All leaks just led to more tape and more tightening. Have PLENTY of tape on hand 😬

    Thanks for sharing - Considering same setup 👍 Are you able to run the AC while making water?

    • @SailingLunaSea
      @SailingLunaSea  2 роки тому +1

      We don’t run the ac unless we are in a marina - and we don’t make water in a marina… Our battery bank is not big enough to run our ac for a significant amount of time. Now if you have a big enough battery bank… maybe so. But regardless, after using it for over a year, we highly recommend SeaWaterPro. We even have a link in the video description - it doesn’t affect your cost, but gives a us a little kickback.

      @@SailingLunaSea Thank you - My main concern was the ability to run both on one thru-hull intake with a generator which is what I plan to do...

    • @SailingLunaSea
      @SailingLunaSea  2 роки тому +1

      Aaah. We have a shut off valve for the watermaker intake that we close when running the air conditioners. And I definitely would not pull from a generator intake - because of potential overheating risk associated. The most common place to use would be a toilet water in thru hull.
