I also once tried carrying on a Macdonalds bag but then on my Ninja 650, the paper bag with the loops and I slid it down the left mirror. Within the only 300m I had to ride my brain went "haha throttle go brrr" and me being a genius was like "oh hell yeah" it ended up with the bag catching the wind; absolutely imploding and my McFlurry and McWrap all over the asphalt. Sad times.
The indicator fiddeling section could be from a 1988 porn movie. Maybe try using your tounge😁 Please keep the colours. The bike looks awesome as it is.
Funny that you hate the KTM turn signals. I'm right there with you. They drove me crazy on my SuperDuke and nearly caused me to wreck a couple of times as I had to futz around with them in heavy traffic. So wish they would fix this!
Ultimate bacon King XXL. Just a hint. All grease and cholesterol. But 🤤🤤🤤 Oh and Geel-Veerle-Laakdal-averbode-testelt. Best way to go to motocare from geel. 😋
Smokey!! Hey I have a burning question to ask. I'm sorry I couldn't find you on IG. I was wondering if you could do a tire experiment by putting a piece of gorilla tape or a marker of some sort on your tire by the valve stem. Go for a normal crazy ride and see if the rim is spinning in the tire. I have had this issue with the Motoz Adventure tire on my Africa Twin and now my 2023 KTM 1290 SA-R. Funny thing is, now I put a Dunlop Trailmax Mission on my 1290 and the wheel has rotated almost 180 degrees inside the tire. You are the only one who rides similar to me and If you aren't having this issue then maybe I have a bad wheel or something. This is a crazy problem and wondering if it is common, or just too many wheelies. DO WHAT!! You can get a ticket for revving your engine? Just in a tunnel or anywhere?
Damn if I remember I will mark my wheel/tire cause that made me wonder now as well lol. And yeah I once revved my car next to a cop with a speed camera and they send me a 50€ fine for revving my car in neutral 😂. Trust me Belgium is the worst when it comes to taxes 🙈
Depends on use , I have been riding 80% on road with the Mitas E10 dakar tires and traction control off. Like this you are looking at 3-4000km max on 1 set 😅. This model tire is a bit better when it comes to road use so will see what happens.
You are obviously a KTM guy. I'm thinking about going that direction as well cos those bikes are so damn cool. I'm worried about "that" questions though: reliability. What are your thoughts? I'm tired of listening to everyone mentioning it to be honest. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger. Have you had any terrible experiences?
I have owned about 6-7 KTM's or so....one clamp from the cooling was a bit lose and some drops of cooling water came out. That's it 😁. Every brand has problems it's that simple. A 1290 does have some vibrations because it's a crazy engine and so much fun. So once in a while make sure everything is still tight and you are good to go. KTM sells soooo many bikes and yes some do break down here and there but for me personally , never had issues 😊
The indicator button ain't that bad when you get used to it. Try putting your thump more to the upper side of it, then it feels a lot better when using it.
When I was looking for a new bike on 2021, I discard the Ducati just for the same reason you explained, if you want to do some off-road on the italian beauti, every time you drop the bike it would cost you a lot of money and pain (the little wings breaks just going trough some bushes, you don't need to touch the floor ). Also the range it's very limited on that bike, drinks a lot more fuel than the LC8... Multi V4S best on-road trail & 1290 SAR best off-road trail
Hallo Smokey, ich habe meinen Blinker gegen den Schalter der 2023 SAS tauschen lassen. Auf Garantie! Ist doch defekt bei Dir, oder?😉 Dieser ist deutlich verbessert!
Man your videos are always Like a fresh start of the day for me! Although that 1290 indicators really sucks! Looks like a little disturbance but it can get to your nerves. The colors of the bike are just beautiful, but I wouldn’t say it can’t be improved, but if I were you, I’d be carful to touch on that harmony set that you have there. I had the SDGT second gen and I loved the bike. The problem was the constant electronic messages (false) of failure, on several occasions. It was disappointing and the dealership couldn’t solve it. I’ve been there twice and the machine kept doing those kind of false emergency warnings, but you know, it plants the doubt in your brain, receiving red flags all the time on your digital panel isn’t a nice thing to live with. Although felt sad to say goodbye to that LC8 engine, the awesome suspensions and breaks. I hope they get it right on the today the Adventure or even on the SAS . I went back home to the BMW, trade the SDGT for a S 1000 XR on the pack M version that is a nit beautiful and competent bike and the complaints about electronic bugs stopped . That experience with KTM was almost traumatic for me. Yeah man, the burger video, is a nice set. It opens my appetite 😂 The 890 is a beautiful machine, the black harmony of colors make it a bad ass looking machine! Expecting for the next video, Smokey ✌️✌️
Haha damn that is a sour journey with KTM for sure. I'm that kind of person that doesn't mind an orange or red light if the bike is so much fun. It adds to the adventure 😁
@@LifeofSmokey yes, I understand it could be an adventure but in the owners manual on the section related to guarantee, if that warning lights and messages pop up you have to do the claim and the dealership has to verify it, and if you don’t the problem is that the accountability runs on the owner’s side (inversion of the risks upon manufacturers guarantee) once he acknowledged the warning and did nothing. So, it can represent a lot of money out of my pocket for no reason and I can’t take it lightly - besides the “adventure” side of the question as you called it -.✌️✌️
@@LifeofSmokey we hebben elkaar gekruist want ik zag jouw 1290 op de brug, en toen je de SMT terugbracht stond de politie - RT (die ik met motorpanne heb teruggebracht) nog waar ik ze had gelaten
Red Bull colors would be nice🤩
And more burger videos please!👍
Nice video. Love my 2022-s. On the 2023 model, the turn signal switch has already been replaced for a better one
Also a piramide version or back to the good old bulky one? 😁
Better have a bathroom close after Burger King,I give it about 15 minutes.
😅🙈

Have been told they made some changed on the 2023 facelift. Have to test it 😅
Love my 1290 SAS.. the engine is the best! Keep your colours on yours pal! Very nice.👍🏻
..I can confirm, the 2023 model has fixed the indicator! Perfection.
Another great video, how is the screen on the 1290 at highway speeds?
Descent , can't complain what so ever. Does depend a lot on your own height and type of helmet of course 😁
I can confirm the testosterone boosting part of the 1290!! 😂

The blinker button is fixed on the 2023 model
Picked up my new SAS a week ago and can’t believe how much it’s made me love riding again. The noise, the torque, the crazy vibes - I’m in love 😍
Any wobbles at high speed?
@@jonasbaine3538 Not noticed anything - but not seen what kinds of speeds wobbles have been felt. Perhaps I haven’t hit those and likely won’t 💁♂️
Was watching the video with my girlfriend and a mate. This video made me put it on pause and we went to burger king 😂😂😂
Yep I watched a video of some dude making burgers the day before and found myself in the same situation haha
😂😂😂 happens a lot to us today was sushi-time because its to hot to eat something warm. For the bike... Babyblue redbull edition would be nice!
matt black paint scheme would like really nice

Roughly, how many km’s between getting new tyres?

What about Ducati Desert X vs. ktm 1290? That would be a neat comparison.
Picking up the Desert X when I'm bringing back the Multistrada Rally next week 😉
Go to burgers Five Guys (no drive inn) 😋
oelalaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! Z900 *in love*
I tried the indicator switch on the 2023 at a buddy’s shop and no wiggle wiggle.
Awesome thx 😁👌

Not gonna lie. I want Burger King. Love the videos as usual. The “I am Jeff” gets me every time. LOVE the 1290! Will have one soooon.
Awesome bike the 1290 SAR or the LC8 engine in general. 😁
not gonna lie. The smt seems like a verry boring bike. not even worth calling sm
As a starter bike for someone who likes to take corners it's good , I had fun on it but nothing crazy about it 😁
Blue...
Always fun smokey, thanks buddy

I have a video on my channel where I'm putting them on , in that description is a link to the company. I totally forgot who it was 😅

There is definitively something addictive with the 1290 Super Adventure, maximum fun factor 👍👍
Yeah I have not had the same feeling with other bigger adventure motorcycles for some reason. Maybe with the Honda's or Yamaha's 😅
I agree, had a GSA and a multistrada but my SAS put a lot more smiles on my face

It does have a 30l tank now , and shuts down the rear cilinders when cruising and stopping so you can go a lot further now 😁
