Hi Connor! So, about your sleeping problem, I figured out that meditating helps me a lot in terms of a good night sleep. It doesn't have to be much, but about 5-10 minutes can do miracles for me! Just find a guided meditation that works for you and follow that. I have one that wants to help you focus on the present moment. And honestly, i fell asleep a couple of times, but each time, i slept soooo good! xD So yeah ... Maybe you can give that a try. Hope you have a great day! :)

Watching Connor feels like watching an old movie that you've watched a million times and love so much that it's just become an integral part of your life because you know it's going to make you feel all warm inside.
Hope you don't mind me adding my two cents here, but I am currently taking an Adult Psychology class at my university and a big takeaway I have gotten so far is that a lot of your college years and twentysomethings is spent finding who you are. It is important to not just drift through this time though, explore your passions and do anything you want (within reason). Your brain actually gains what is called elasticity during this time, similar to the developmental stages in young infants, and during your 20s is the best time to explore yourself! Also on the topic of sleep as someone who is currently studying Psychology and has had insomnia her whole life, the best things to practice are limiting screen time at least n hour before bed, or if you're like me and use computers/phone a lot for work, using red light filters to diminish blue light emission. Drinking relaxing tea (chamomile is my go-to) and avoiding things especially with high sugar content or caffeine. Another thing is taking cold showers, I know not many people like this but I have started doing this when I take showers at night and it actually helps, when your body is cooled (after the initial shock of the water) your heartbeat slows and your body relaxes faster. Hope these little tidbits help some of you folks! I know its a long post but I know as a college student myself life can get pretty crazy, so videos like this seriously help so much to know we aren't alone and I hope my input can do the same. I know I am like two years late but I just listened to note to self and the part about love and relationships helped me so much because of a complicated love life (or lack of one) that I have.I guess what I am trying to say is thank you Connor for helping me and other LGBT people accept themselves.

here are *some sleep advice* that has helped me sometimes with my insomnia: (1) try to set a pattern/schedule your sleep and try to stick with it, if you do your body will most likely adapt to that sleeping-schedule. (2) listen to asmr (maybe give it a second chance if you dislike it or give it a shot if you haven't before, it can really help). (3) listen to some calm music as you're about to sleep, e.g. piano pieces. (4) try to put away your phone/laptop etc. at least an hour before going to bed. (5) try drinking some calming tea before bed, warm milk, etc.

I am a straight, married woman who recently finished reading The Velvet Rage. This book was such an eye opener! I read it wanting to hopefully more fully understand some of my LGBTQ family and friends. What I came away from this book was that we all have more in common than we think. We all want to be loved, we all want to be accepted, we all are on a journey of self awareness. I recommend this book to everyone
your voice and just overall presence is so soothing. not many people on UA-cam I can say I leave watching their videos feeling better about myself, but you definitely do that for me. thank you thank you for being yourself :)

If you're having trouble with sleeping, I have some tips! I spent most of my life with insomniac tendencies and so I researched what the most common and easy ways to get your body on a better sleep schedule. 1. Create a routine. This is the foundation for most cycles. Our bodies thrive on routine because A. It makes us feels safe, and B. It helps our bodies to create a neural patter (or better known as a synaptic pattern). 2. Part of creating the routine is trying to go to bed around the same time every night. I say my around bedtime is 9:30, which means I start getting ready at 9, in bed by 9:30, and roughly asleep by 10. 3. Find what creates the most soothing environment for yourself. Most people like things like weighted blankets or lots of blanket layers because it reduces anxieties like a hug, listening to white noise or soft melodic music (I use Relax Melodies every night which is incredibly helpful and designed by researchers on better sleep), or sleep meditations which I also use in combination with Relax Melodies. I pick a 20-30 meditation that helps me to relax and regulate my breathing, telling the body to get ready for a resting period. After I hear the same one for awhile, I'm usually asleep before the end of it. 4. As all of these are optional, another option is doing things like making tea before bed, especially teas that induce relaxation with herbs or roots such as Kava, Chamomile, Valerian, etc. I drink it before bed and it's very soothing and makes me feel warm and nice. 5. In small doses things such as Melatonin supplements can be very helpful too. I take just 1mg a night, and it's just enough to induce my body to relax and make me a little sleepy. However, unlike prescriptions, things that are naturally based may take longer to take effect, such as melatonin may take a few uses before your body starts to react. Dont up a dose or drink more of relaxant indecent test or herbs just because you dont feel anything right away. 6. Excercising is said to make people feel tired afterwards, so some people do so, shower, and then go to bed. A common but not often talked about way is moderation! Especially in primarily testosterone persons but also in estrogen persons, master at ion is a great way to enduce positive mindsets towards sleeping with feel good hormones like dopamin, and serotonin and other sleepy hormones that help us to relax and get a good nights rest. 7. As it's getting colder, things such as heating blankets, socked feet, a comfort item such as stuffed animal, pillow, or blanket to hold, and low lights such as Himalayan salt lamps (which cast a soothing low glow that's ajustable), are also great ideas. Everyone is different, we all react differently, so experiment and find what works for you!

I have had trouble sleeping basically my entire life, but you can buy sleeping aid pills basically at any store like Walmart etc; it has really helped me calm down before I go to bed so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I can actually get a good night of sleep now after 19 years lol

I have had trouble sleeping basically my entire life, but you can buy sleeping aid pills basically at any store like Walmart etc; it has really helped me calm down before I go to bed so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I can actually get a good night of sleep now after 19 years lol
