That has nothing to do with luck. In 1983 and 1997 they were arguably the best side in Europe, and in both occasions they walked on the pitch thinking that they had already won. All Juve's supporters felt the same: they didn't even contemplate a hard game ahead. And each time they got shocked by the Germans scoring early in the game, and couldn't recover. They only had themselves to blame. In the other 5 finals they were the weaker side against Real (the latter final), Ajax and Barcelona. About equal to Real (1998) and Ac Milan. In these cases we could say they were a bit unlucky, although they didn't do much to win the games.
BVB...as of now still the last club to win the CL in their first final! Since then 8 teams have all failed to win on their first final (2000: Valencia, 2002: Bayer Leverkusen, 2004: Monaco, 2006: Arsenal, 2008: Chelsea, 2019: Spurs, 2020: PSG, 2021: ManC)

But now, the Bundesliga must think of a way to stop Bayern's domination, like with a more fair TV rights distribution, because if not, it's just absurd. Bundesliga is pointless, to have so many great clubs with so many fans, so hard competition even in B2, if a team won 10 times in a row !!!

I remember this. As someone growing up in Berlin. I loved this. That Dortmund Team was great. That Lars Ricken goal. I knew the game was won. Celebration started. What an experience. But Ottmar Hitzfeld was also an absolute brilliant coach.
The first Coach and i think still the only Coach who won the Champions League twice with two different teams from the same Leauge. (BvB and FC Bayern). This is a really insane feat.

That has nothing to do with luck. In 1983 and 1997 they were arguably the best side in Europe, and in both occasions they walked on the pitch thinking that they had already won. All Juve's supporters felt the same: they didn't even contemplate a hard game ahead. And each time they got shocked by the Germans scoring early in the game, and couldn't recover.
They only had themselves to blame.
In the other 5 finals they were the weaker side against Real (the latter final), Ajax and Barcelona. About equal to Real (1998) and Ac Milan. In these cases we could say they were a bit unlucky, although they didn't do much to win the games.
