The squat while taking the next few rollers after going airborne is truly what shows her experience. Takes some serious quads to hold that position while steering on that low helm.
Years ago a family friend took me out in his boat in southern NJ, through a closed inlet. The locals still went out into the ocean that way; they knew where sand bars were, and knew how to get in and out. His boat was closed bow, an MFG from the 1960's. We're going through a gap between sandbars. Swells became rollers over the sandbar on our right, then became very tall, very steep swells heading at us from our starboard bow in this little "alley". During a lull, he looked over at me, chatted for just a moment. I looked ahead and there was a wall of water. Just a huge, steep swell coming off the sandbar. I yelled out his name and pointed ahead. He looked, and throttled back as we rode up that thing. It was so steep I thought we'd flip for sure. The boat left the water, the prop sang out and we went airborne. The boat landed flat on the water, like a giant piece of plywood. Jarring. You could hear fiberglass cracking. I looked at him, he looked at me, we laughed and laughed. It was scary, to me anyway. He had been and island hopper in WWII. NOTHING scared him. NOTHING. I can't watch this video without thinking of that.

Blue Top just because of the fun she is having, and respecting whoever put her in that boat and taught her to use it. You will never see that kind of thrill or joy from someone playing a video game. Take a close look at how the pilot of the Blue Top Legend is working the throttle and adjusting to what is coming. Not just pinning it then pulling it when getting scared, workin' it for the conditions. Probably one of the hardest things to teach new boat pilots. That is either experience talking or the result of some serious coaching. I bought my first Whaler when I was 18, an ancient original vintage Montauk. Ran it all over SoCal and it kept me safe until I learned enough to be safe at piloting a small boat. I sold it, had other boats up to a Tiara Pursuit, then went back to a second gen Montauk in the late 70's. Moved on to other boats of various makes and sizes up to 38' in length, but always missed my Whalers. Older, wiser, know what I really want and going back to a 21' Montauk. People rag on Whalers and mock owners as being cultists, but I've never heard a former Whaler owner who regretted owning one.

Sending it hard in a Whaler is known in my parts as a Nantucket Sleighride! I've owned several Whalers over the past 25 years and I've been airborne for half the time I've been out
Whalers are nice water crafts, but they are common and they slap. A whaler cant do what a hobie powerskiff can, that I can assure you. Been new england waters, in 6 to 8 foot swells where 20 foot+ boats are too scared to go, every year, fishing the marthasvineyard fishing derby for more than 30 years now. Its stood up against everything, and it still goes to this day. My dad was the original owner and has been passed down to me.
Damn that boy took a 1980s bass boat on the ocean. Hell yeah!! See, if I lived there I'd be in trouble within 5 minutes with all that gorgeous tail walkin around. I was down there in Miami right after Wilma doing reconstruction on the telecom systems. I didn't know God even made that many beautiful women, but when he did he sure as hell stuck half of em in Florida and the other half in Cali.
Well the first clip is how you do it. She is a true captain and knows how here Whaler handles the inlet even while she laughs her butt off. They win all awards on this video.
All those commercials they used to run where they sawed the boat in half with a chain saw while it was in the water were completely bogus. You can do the same thing with any fiberglass hull boat. They do certainly perform well.
@@Mvp-AngelOfGod Has absolutely nothing to do with age. It has everything to do with boating safety. You want to do that alone, fine. No great loss. Passenger safety first, something that is apparently beyond your comprehension.

My friend used to have a Boston Whaler like that growing up.....cant remember how many times we sank it. There were so many electrical issues that when you drove it, you had to wear ruber cloves and would still get shocked the whole time you drove so we had to drive in shifts.......still never managed to sink it to the bottom......great boat, would abuse again 10/10
If the “Blue Top Legend “ doesn’t make it onto “Boats vs Haulover”, I’m going to be disappointed. I can’t wait to hear @broncosguru give us a color commentary. 🤣
We’re long time sailors. You have to ask yourself, “What happens in a man overboard situation”? There’s not a single PFD to be seen, and plenty of people sitting on transoms/bows. Have you ever practiced a man overboard situation, and how long do you think one of your crew would last in the water? Would your younger or obese passengers be able to get back into the boat???? I’m all for having fun, but precautions should be taken.
Having owned Boston Whalers for many years I can say you feel invincible. I've been in crazy situations in 11 foot 17 foot and 21 foot Whalers. The best was jumping a Golden Gate ferry wake at about 40mph. We cleared the other wake and landed after being at least 15 feet in the air. We got a standing ovation from the passengers and a call from the coast guard. Also going out and back to the Farallon islands in small craft advisories and having the coast guard come out to round up boaters but just waving to us because we were in a 21 foot Whaler. Rough wet boat but they can handle anything.
Yep , me and my son would leave the house the moment the small craft advisory came out in my classic Outrage 19 . The boat just doesnt care much about what the man on the radio says.... I left the Fourth of July celebration on the Potomac in DC right as the show ended one night and I swear the boat pretty much was in the air the whole ride home from all the wakes from those bog boys....
The potato patch can be rough. Water really cranks through the Gate! We went through one time when the seas were "nervous!" Water was shooting up into the air in spouts. Amazing wet trip!

Damn I've never been boating like this ever. I hope one day I'll be there to enjoy life on the water like this. Those girls were epic. Don't need an expensive ass boat to have fun
Sending it hard in a Whaler is known in my parts as a Nantucket Sleighride! I've owned several Whalers over the past 25 years and I've been airborne for half the time I've been out
Where's that? Around Nantucket and Cape Cod a Nantucket sleigh ride is when a hooked fish pulls your boat, like a whale would pull a harpoon skiff.
As someone who has lived on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, that's not what a Nantucket sleigh ride is.
Not even close. CULTURAL APPROPRIATION!! LoL
Whalers are great boats.
I wanna see some humble zillionaire hand the keys of their “Big Cat” to blue top…. The cosmic forces would shudder.
What the fuck?

Blue Top Legend I salute you 👍👍👍
3:27 is an awesome shot 🙂
Ahh! Boston Whaler! The Safest boat on the planet! I wish I was a kid again!
Safe yes ok. Ugly, unfun, unimaginative and ugly? Hell yea!!
@@ejr5480 I guess you live in the country,
I grew up on a whaler as a kid . It had a 35 on it . So much fun .
@@saltystripesfishing2980 I got my first 13 foot Whaler when i was 10yo and vacationed every summer in Cataumet, and Vineyard Haven
Omg, she and her friend are legends! Love it!
Until their parents see this video, then hem legends will be grounded.
@@Metal0sopher maybe its her boat?
@Metalosopher Mom is in the comments. 😂🚀
@@Mvp-AngelOfGod Nobody trashes a boat like that if it's theirs. Only entitled little MAGA princesses do that to their daddy's boat.
@@jerometremblay7128 tbat boat was built to do that
Damn that boy took a 1980s bass boat on the ocean.
Blue top is a true legend! Seen clips of them everywhere!
Go do it with a 1980s wellcraft your whole vessel will be under before you get a half way across the poopdeck lol
@@jackhaugh Wrong, they will swamp and not sink, but you can't drive the back half around!
The kid at the end trying to anticipate the bumps in the waves is too funny. Very wholesome.
Those chicks are crazy! Love it! 😆😆😆🤘🏻
Girl power!
And not an active brain cell between the both of them...
@@defresurrection its called having fun. Relax
@@defresurrection because ur old and cant have fun anymore. Let the young people enjoy themselves
@@Mvp-AngelOfGod Has absolutely nothing to do with age. It has everything to do with boating safety. You want to do that alone, fine. No great loss. Passenger safety first, something that is apparently beyond your comprehension.
@@defresurrection they're sisters their gonna die together
Oh, it's so much FUN to do crazy stuff in a boat without life preservers.
The girls in the blue top know how to have fun, for sure! Legends.
I like when I see people killing it in boats I can afford! Lol
Amen Brudder, those pricy boats just rub the egos.
Makes me so happy to see that boat - my grandfather had the 15'3" sport model with same size engine, just mahogany seats and no windshields; otherwise looked almost identical. Been so many years. Glad to see one of those models out kicking butt.
Give those girls a high performance boat, I want to see them launch to the moon from the inlet 😅😎
They would skim across the tops like it is 6 inch chop.
Give them aluminum John boat and watch them launch that ,curious to see what happens. Heck I might even try it
YES - a Top Gun for these Haulover Cowgirls!!! 🚤
Those two are having so much fun! Screaming as they go airborne, that’s how you run a boat.
If the “Blue Top Legend “ doesn’t make it onto “Boats vs Haulover”, I’m going to be disappointed. I can’t wait to hear @broncosguru give us a color commentary. 🤣
Those girls will be on next BvH for sure.. blue top legend

I was literally in tears laughing out loud watching the blue top Legend! 😂😂
I like the first boat. Looks light, small and easy to maneuver. Perfect for fishing!
The two young ladies having fun in the blue top: priceless 😅🤣😂
Can't watch this enough. Pure example of truly living life. Good job ladys!! 👊😎
Blue top soars over all other legends 😂
Literally
The Blues Sisters demonstrate how small boats are just the ticket in certain sea conditions. Well done ladies!
That girl definitely knows her boat, her inlet, and how to absolutely send it
Having owned Boston Whalers for many years I can say you feel invincible.
We had a 13 whaler it can take a beating fun boat for near shore putting around but horrible in the waves
I love my 28 footer ❤️. Never lets me down! 😎👍🏻
The potato patch can be rough. Water really cranks through the Gate! We went through one time when the seas were "nervous!" Water was shooting up into the air in spouts. Amazing wet trip!
Well there's one very proud happy dad out there! Never has to worry about her boating 😆
Those two girls are my favorite.....couple of fearless lasses that love to get air on their little boat
The girl driving has a bigger set than most of the guys going thru the inlet ! Legendary!
Not to mention the passenger taking major spinal compressions and laughing the whole way.
The bluetop legend, these 2 girls look like they are having the time of their lives
It's amazing that no one has a life jacket. The Whaler 130 videos are killer
Blue Top Legend - I’m a believer.
I’ve never wanted aboard the smallest boat of the video as much as this one!!

Hard to find a better boat under 14feet.
Cleetus and Jackstand need to run this with their jet boats!
Oh yes!

Blue Top Legend for the win! Men's Division, and Ladies Division. The Blue Top Legend was showing everyone how it's done!
I'd say the Blue Top Legend takes the top of the Ladies Division!
Don't need to separate male and female leagues. They would have won regardless
