In retrospective those stories probably weren't that bad but the art is all over the place leaning on amateur hour level. Coloring-wise, this probably was the worst era for Marvel with those hideous gradients everywhere and no grasp of color theory, palettes, etc. Not even Colan could salvage it as he was already in the decline.
Reading past the 90's probably is not really very worth it for a lot of the characters.
