I'm back! For those of you who didn't see my numerous comments and community posts, I injured my spine back in December making it extremely painful to sit down or use my right arm. I've only recently recovered enough to use a computer for short periods and I've put this video together over the course of three weeks. To Boldly Go, For All Kerbalkind and Beyond Kerbol will all be returning in due course but I still have a ways to go before I'm fully recovered so please try to be patient. Thank you so much for all the support I've received, stay awesome Penguinauts!
Wow this is probably one of the best and most detailed explanations on the N1 rocket i have seen! no other source tends to mention the real reasons why the N1 failed, most just chalk it up to too many engines, but you make an excellent point in that lack of proper funding and integrated testing was really the root cause. really great job beardy!
I have heard the problematic inner ring of six engines was added later in the design. Originally the concept was to launch multiple rockets and assemble in LEO. Glad that your back is back, at least somewhat, I wish you a smooth recovery.
Welcome back Beardy! I was so excited to get the notification for this video. I hope you continue to heal and feel better, take all the time you need! Excited to see more of you in the future!
Glad to see your back, hope you're feeling better! Always glad to see an upload, and looking forward to seeing all the new series return after you recover. I'm happy to wait though, don't hurt yourself!
THE RETURN OF THE KING! Seriously love you beardy hope you take your time to recover we will be as patient as need be. Stay safe and good luck with continuing uni!
hey great to see you back again! good luck with university, i hope you're able to catch up again on your course, aerospace engineering is no joke! but in any case and keep doing what you love, and i wish you a speedy recovery!
This was an amazing history lesson and an amazing engineering lesson. I would be very interested in seeing you do a walk through history by doing individual videos like this -- each one would pick a single rocket design and do a deep-dive into how that rocket was made, how it functioned, why, etc. It's great to have you back on the internet, and I hope you're doing OK.
Beardy! So nice to see you back again- and on a topic I am passionate about, being a former science teacher, now retired. To my understanding, another issue that plagued the N-1 besides the politics, bureaucracy and fabrication of results during the testing process was the pogo ocillation that occurred whenever it was launched. I hope you are feeling better!
Welcome back! I'm just 25 seconds into the video and I am stunned by your Lego N-1. It is a work of beauty. And as a fan of early Soviet spaceflight, I believe stuff like this should be more well-known to the general public.
Return of the king I'm glad you've recovered enough to make this video, but don't push yourself too much okay? your health is way more important than videos
Forget KSP, I could watch you do this sort of stuff all day! But also glad you're back, take it easy and look forward to the new videos when they come :)

As a suggestion for a future video: perhaps do one about the Lunokhod program, and its ties to the Soviet Moon landing efforts?
Hello Beardy!

I'm glad you're feeling improved and I hope first and foremost that you continue to do what you need to to recover, videos or no videos. :)
This was an amazing history lesson and an amazing engineering lesson.
