Recently someone gave me this tip: If something knitted/crocheted is too loose, you can sew thin elastic thread into the ribbing. That should tighten it up so it's small enough :)
Yeah! I think while that row is on the cord you could thread one through the middle of the stitches.

If somebody Doe's this I recommend to do the double in size of the elastic band and when you're sewing it to the sweater fold it in half so you could put in the middle the elastic and no one could see the elastic

You can just weave the thin elastic threads in. No sewing required.
When you knit the ribbing or cuffs, always use knitting needles half a size smaller. You still cast the same amount of stitches, but since you're making a ribbing, it's gonna stretch but fit you nicer. Hope this helps 🥰
For the waist of the skirt, you could also just sow smaller elastic threads on the inside of the skirt, so that you wouldn’t have to make it longer and fold over, if it makes sense ❤️
I'm having a difficult time picturing what you mean. You're saying to sew small elastic threads to the inside of the waist band? Sort of like how toddlers pants are with the white elastic on the sides of the inner waist?
just a word of advise, when changing your needles sizes, unscrew from the metal part instead of the wooden part because overtime it can loosen the needle

I often watch your thrifting and haul try on videos. I love your energy and enthusiasm and while you're much younger than me I have gotten PLENTY of outfit inspiration from you. Well this knitting thing is a whole new animal. As a knitter who ALWAYS follows a pattern and sort of knits nervously, I love how you just jumped into this. This has inspired me like no other knitting video has! I have so much yarn and am always looking for the perfect project to use it for and you have given me an attitude of just jumping in and creating something. Awesome! If this was your first creation just think of all the cool things you can make ... also looking very forward to crafting videos!!!

when I want to do a top with only stockinette stitch I add at the bottom 2 or 3 ribbing rows with the needle size I want to use for the proyect and it usually helps

I think I've been thinking about buying that exact needle set! Are they good?? Love the 2-piece! ❤️
I have the driftwood ones and I love them! They grip the stitches nice, but the coating makes them a bit more slippery than most wooden needles (not as much as metal though). Interchangeable needles are a game changer and end up saving money if you are someone who knits with lots of different sizes. Go for it!

I believe that if you steam it or iron through a piece of fabric, the stitches will get set in place and your project won't curl

U know so much more with crochet and knitting than I do lol so idk if this is helpful or not but .. on the back of straps like those, if u put them closer together in the back they won't sit on the edge of ur shoulders so much, don't have to worry if they'll fall down 💜

tbh i love the whole set but personally i dont really like the top... i think its too chunky for a small crop top like that, i absolutely love the skirt tho!! (I think the top wouldve been better if it was a tad longer) you rock the look tho!!! also you have inspired me to start knitting again lol.
