Thank you so much! Mono white isn't great at ramp and card draw, but here are two creatures you can substitute that are budget friendly options: Boreas charger ($0.14) cartographers hawk ($0.08) This is only the $5 version, but if you like the commander, you may need to spend a little more to make it competitive. 😊
Good video, the sound quality is kinda distorted in some places but that's understandable at this point. Best of luck to your channel, subscribed for more content.
Thank you for the video. I've recently started getting back into magic and only have 1 deck to play with, can't really afford much so a 5-10 dollar deck is perfect! Theres another one I was planning to make which is like 40 bucks. I think 3 decks should keep me satisfied for a while
I'm so glad! With magic the gathering, sometimes people don't play because it can sometimes be an expensive hobby....However, it is totally possible to create commander decks on a budget, have it feel powerful, and be fun! We will be posting another deck tech for $10 soon so keep your eyes out! :)
Welcome back! Let us know if there are any concepts(keywords, triggers, stages, etc...) that are difficult to understand getting back into MTG. We want to make a series of Beginners Guide videos to help new and returning players.
Thank you so much! We love community feedback! That is an awesome card! It would definitely be a strong card in the deck! A stuffy doll would be a scary sight indeed!
Thank you so much, we appreciate it! ❤️❤️❤️ Keep your eye out for more of this series of videos. The plan is to double the budget until we reach $1,000, then begin again at $5! We love that idea! We will definitely look into that! For Christmas, we're doing something similar with a $20 White Elephant deck exchange. :)
This is really cool, nice job. I like designing budget but I've never thought about going down to 5 dollars. Building something cohesive that low is hard.
Thank you so much! We are glad you enjoyed it! It was definitely pretty tricky to do something this low but super rewarding when the deck comes together! :) Not only do the cards have to be cheap but the commander too and not very many legendary creatures are super cheap...
It's definitely pretty fun! A lot of time when we are ordering cards there is usually a couple bucks off to get free shipping now you can get a full commander deck to help you get free shipping! 😂😂
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I completely agree-Akroma is an amazing choice and can be a really good option for this deck as well. And great for those with deep pockets 😉
Be careful. A $5 to $10 Commander deck is just a gateway drug to eventually buying $100 singles, or even worse... booster packs! This hobby has completely consumed my marriage (just ask the woman in the video).
You’re not gonna be winning games with a $5 deck. Thats the commander alone, or maybe a couple cheap dual lands. You cannot buy 100 cards for $5 and expect to win. Thats an average of 5 cents per card. Even if we assume a mono colored deck using only basics, thats 66ish spells. So now an average of 7.5 cents per spell. Not reasonable. Theres a reason the cards are cheap
Is it a perfectly optimized deck? No, it is only $5. :) However, it can hold its own pretty well and let you have a fun commander game to potentially win. Also another reason we are doing a budget series like this, a lot of people sometimes don't try to join commander because it may be too expensive for them. 100 cards can definitely add up quickly. This gives them a chance to try the format and not have to sink a bunch of money into it or just have fun with their friends. Thankfully, Odric is pretty cheap so with these maybe less than optimized creatures can help us pull the win with quick commander damage. With good synergies, smart plays, and some luck a $5 deck can potentially hold their own. We appreciate your input though and are always happy to listen to community feedback! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for including some cheap indestructible creatures in the video in case I wanna be a real moneybags with a $10 Commander deck.
Treat yo self!!
We love to hear community feedback! I'm glad you liked it!
Lovely and fun idea! How do we draw and ramp ?

We are hoping that over time we can get better sound equipment!

Got this on my home feed! Super fun build. Throw a stuffy doll in there for another 2 bucks!
Thank you so much! We love community feedback!

Good fun video, subbing and commenting for the algorithm. Would love to see a series like this, a blind 5 dollar deck exchange format sounds very fun
Thank you so much, we appreciate it! ❤️❤️❤️

We love that idea! We will definitely look into that! For Christmas, we're doing something similar with a $20 White Elephant deck exchange. :)
Nice! Not everyday you see someone build a super budget deck that might actually be competitive
Thank you so much! We love having fun and it's awesome when you can do it on a budget!
Fun thumbnail!
Thank you so much!
Incredible!

Ah, the mysteries of UA-cam! It's like a treasure hunt, and you just struck gold! More budget deck gems coming soon!
Awesome and super informative video! I’m going to have to buy this deck next time I make my Tcg order!
It's definitely pretty fun! A lot of time when we are ordering cards there is usually a couple bucks off to get free shipping now you can get a full commander deck to help you get free shipping! 😂😂
Costs as much as the deck, but Akroma, Vision of Ixidor is the perfect backup commander for this deck
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I completely agree-Akroma is an amazing choice and can be a really good option for this deck as well. And great for those with deep pockets 😉
Well, i already have an Odric, so i guess o only need 99 more cards
He's the most expensive card of the deck! Everything else will be so cheap! Shipping might cost you more than this deck 😂😂

Why stop at $10? Next is $20 got to complete the set 😂
