Bro I just found you Zach that’s CRAZY ! I just bought a mk6 gti 2013 and needed to look up the oil change and of COURSE it’s you my man 😂😂😂😂 you literally have helped me so much in my at home mechanic life 😂🙏🏼🙏🏼 thank you brother !☝🏼
The most impressive thing that I’ve noticed is the clean of that engine bay and underneath it, sooooo cleaaan I wish mine would be as clean as this one 😅
I have recently had low oil pressure due to blocked oil pickup (carbon apparently) on 2012 Gti edition 35, it had not quite reached 6,000miles since last oil and filter change. Always run on either 98 or 100 octane fuel (New Zealand ratings are different to US, we use RON here) and 5w30 synthetic oil, a different mechanic than the team that serviced it 6,000miles ago suggested I stick to 6,000mile service as he assumed I was late this time but I checked the last invoice and it was bang on time. They (previous tech team) did use a different oil brand (titan proflex 5w30) and I have changed back to Castrol 5w30 synthetic) and I don't know what brand oil filter but I have used Mann brand or Bosch only. Also I will stick to BP 98 octane rather than 100 octane as car is not tuned. Will also change oil and filter again soon to wash engine out. Hopefully no more issues after this
Do you recommend this oil for an audi a6 2.0tfsi that consumes a bit of oil? Currently i am using castrol 5w 40.. is this oil better than motul xcess 5w 40?
I have a 2013 cc with 125k on the dash and recently I found out it’s burning oil like crazy. It’s drinking 1 quart per 800 miles. I currently used Mobil 1 5w40, what oil and grade would you suggest using base on the miles currently and future stage 2 tune?
If the 0W-40 has the OEM approval, it's perfectly fine to use. Motul X-Max 0W-40 meets the VW 502.00 spec required for the 2.0T TSI found in the MK6 GTI.
Did you see it? lmao... The head valves are not gonna be lubricated properly and the oil is gonna be contaminated faster because oil fumes are not gonna be extracted... People is fucking retarded doing that. You only need to see what type of driver is when he spends dollars on carbon fiber baterry cover and engine bay carbon fiber cover... lmao who the fuck does that? Remove all that shit and let the engine breathe... Typical Golf driver beetwen 24-30 years old.
Zach!!!??? I had to check the date on this video because I know that face anywhere. This must've been before Donut. Maybe is has multiple streams of income.
So basically you need a bag full of tools to change your oil on any German vehicle holy moly doughnut shop! I’m not sure why you needed so many tools and then to not even use them that was confusing!
5W30 is the correct viscosity and 4.7 liters is the correct oil capacity for this engine. if you had left it overnight or just a few hours, it would show the correct level. now it is overfilled. bad advice thumbs down.

Its Zach Jobe from Donut Media! Love to see where he came from
I had to like, quad take to make sure I was not seeing things.
ECS is my part shop and had zero clue he came from there. Love Donut Media.
I was just staring at him thinking damn this dude looks familiar 😂
When you find Zack from Donut years later. Dude you help me with everything
Ecs is the bomb. I love how they provided links to everything in the video. So easy.
Yep. Better to buy new oil pan than make a new thread and use bigger bolt ;)
The most impressive thing that I’ve noticed is the clean of that engine bay and underneath it, sooooo cleaaan I wish mine would be as clean as this one 😅
Then instead of write this useless comment, get your tools and clean your engine.
Jobe! I’ve been watching all your money pit series
Damn this engine bay is cleannn.
Holy shit... didn’t know he was at ECS before Donut
Damn it's Zach from Donut Media, what a stud

What's the difference between liqui moly molygen vs fully synthetic?
YOOOO THIS GUY IS ON DONUT MEDIA 😂
I was like I’m gonna get my oil changed today and was so confused as to why he was on my feed
Same with scirocco 2.0 tsi or not? I just planning to change my car engine oil by my self.. Please reply thanks
What drain plug’s should I use aluminum or copper? I have a mk6 gti
Is that Zach Jobe?
Yes it is!
Do you HAVE to change the oil pan plug? I already ordered the kit, if it’s not needed i’ll wait until next oil change
My oil filter is not next to engine like it is in this video. Where is mine? Under the car? 2013 Scirocco R 2.0L TFSI gasoline.
What’s the difference between the blue or green bottle?
I’m sure it probably doesn’t matter but my teacher always stressed to use fresh oil not the old one to lube the new oil filters seals
I see a stock PCV but then also a catch can? How does that work?
Love that CF engine cover 😍 what brand is it and where can I buy one?
Yep, the link is in the description!
Can you use the schwaben oil extractor instead?
Thanks guys. Never taking mine back to the dealership. Those guys are some crooks (Allen Samuels VW in Edmond, OK).
This guy look like brother Jobe from Donut media!
Holy crap! Zackjobe!!!!!! Dude
Do you recommend this oil for an audi a6 2.0tfsi that consumes a bit of oil? Currently i am using castrol 5w 40.. is this oil better than motul xcess 5w 40?
Use the recommended oil, unless you track it. Oil consumption comes at cold engine temps and very hot.
I stand by Liqui Moly 5w-40
the oil light should come on when we turn the key?
Did he just spank that oil filter ??!!😯
I have read VW does not approve of using liquimoly molygen oils .So is it truly safe to use in our VAG cars or not
not only is it safe, it exceeds VW's standards.
Aren’t you suppose to check the oil catch can as well?
hi, are all those parts of the engine really carbon?
Golf and liquimoly always
Addicted to these videos 😂
What kind of oil should i use on my mk6 gti 2012? 5w-40? Or 10w-40
BR Edits did you find out what kind I’m debating on the same thing!
@@BrandonGomez-mi7tj its 5w-40 synthetic
What kind of headlights are those??
is that the same dude from money pit on donutmedia?
yes he worked before here, great videos
Hey I think I know this guy
POP UP, UP AND DOWN HEADLIGHTS!
What about 2016 -2018 Gli oil change??
Does this oil save petrol?

Jason Shirley your PCV Valve might be bad, I just replaced mine. Go to autozone and have them run your check engine light, it’s free
Spugub, much thanks will do.
what was the result?
@@dumbeezy5480 ?
@@elibruhim2102 what?
Hey it's my buddy zack jobe
"DIY", proceeds to raise GTI on a lift, lol.
What kind of oil should i use on my mk6 gti 2010 ?
ian lopez Synthetic 5w40
I also recommend the BG MOA extended life oil additive. You don’t want to take chances with a GDI and turbocharged engine.
How many km can running it?
Would this be the same steps for a 2012 Passat v6 version
If it’s the same motor yes
how many miles change oil thanks
VW says to change the oil every 10K miles, but many people choose to change it every 5K, especially on tuned/modified cars.
Why dont you slightly prefill your oil filter? So the filter absorbs some oil already and doesnt run dry in first startup
personally, i do that, but you dont have to. as long as you run it for a bit and then re-check and fill after, its the same thing.
Can you run a 0W-40 (like Motul X-Max 0W-40), or do you have to run a 5W-40?
If the 0W-40 has the OEM approval, it's perfectly fine to use. Motul X-Max 0W-40 meets the VW 502.00 spec required for the 2.0T TSI found in the MK6 GTI.
Same doubt i have that can i use 0w40 in my 1.9tdi skoda octavia 2007 if it says use 5w40?
I am using mobil1 0w40 for now. Its a great oil.
@@ecstuning I always use a 0W-40 as it allows cold oil pressure just that little bit faster to the hydraulic timing chain tensioner
Is this oil ok with a cdi diesel engine?
consult your service manual for the correct oil viscosity or contact our sales department to make sure you get the correct formula for your engine
Is the oil green coloured? Felt like you out coolant in the engine....lol
Yup, it's green! It also glows under UV light, making it easy to find oil leaks if you have any.
PCV Valve Delete ? Nice :)

Any help?
somebody have information for engine internals spec ? engien material pistons etc thanks
Hey guys please do an mk6r
frembo1 thanks guy!

VW still using that ball shaped coolant reservoir.
5W30 for this engine
5w40
Didn't I already see this last week... What's happening, 😂
Made a quick change to the video and re-uploaded!
ECS Tuning hey why u use the 5w40 and not the 5w30
show how to check for oil leaks with that oil, if not it's a wasted video
Mine has a t30

That oil doesnt meet all the requirements and sprecifications from vw/audi
It does meet VW 502, which is recommended for US market.
No. Need. To. Torque. Drain plug. Hand. Tighten.
