    Thank you! I have a soft very colorful wool lap blanket that has fringe and I want to make it into a poncho. I don't know if I will add the collar - but I really like that look - very Jackie Kennedy! Love this chic and elegant look. Your video gave me the confidence to lay out my fabric and make sewing magic!

    Thankyou so much. Your poncho is gorgeous. Your explanations are so clear. Did you comb the fringe to leave just the single threads? Merci de Québec.

      Thank You. I didn't comb the fringe. If you like the combed fringe, you can buy a combed ribbon and add it to the poncho.

    I have taught friends to make this lovely poncho. Thank. Can you suggest how to make this for a kid about 3 feet tall?

      Measure how long you want it to be. That will be the length the use 4” for the neck.

    I started making ponchos from pillow cases and guess what? They are lined. I can leave an opening and they became pocketed! I also have been using pockets on my ponchos made from fabric masks I didn't sell. Since they had pouches for paper for an extra barrier, I sewed down the middle and then the pockets have a place for change for for credit cards or card holder! I have a channel too and I will be adding more videos with the pillow cases.

    I love this! Hoping to make Christmas gifts. I'm a little confused about the neck. Why measure 5" then 3.5"? Can you please explain?

    • @CocoziniDIY
      @CocoziniDIY  2 роки тому +2

      I’m glad you like the tutorial. The 5” is the wideness of the neck opening on your shoulder on fold and the 3.5” is how deep you want it to be (i.e the roundness of the neck)
      The measurement I have will make it look like a boat neck.
      I hope that helps.

    Thanks a lot for the tutorial wanted to get clarity on the 8,5 measurement is it a one size fit all or I have to measure and if so what should I measure sorry new to sewing.

    • @CocoziniDIY
      @CocoziniDIY  2 роки тому

      Thank you. The 8.5 comprises of how wide you want your neck to be and how deep you also want it to be. I want my neck to be 10" wide on my neck so if folded to 2 it equal 5". And I want it to be 3.5" deep. Adding the two together makes it 8.5".
      I'll advice to keep it at 8.5 or 9. It's the average measurement for the neck.
      I hope I'm able to clarify it for you.

    oh, please. in chile we just get a blank piece of clothing, we sew a design on it and cut a hole in the middle. it was way easier than having to watch this.
