Ling are so strange to catch. We were packing up our gear and i thought i had a lump of seaweed on the hook. No fight just weight. Boy was i surprised to have a metre plus ling on. Hope you enjoyed eating it. Very tasty.
Yeah I caught about a metre one too, was glad my mate filleted it , such a weird fish, and I agree probably the tastiest thing in Western Port I reckon.
Nice video! I'll give you one piece of advice. If you and your girlfriend are right-handed, then you should put the handle on the fishing reel on the left side of the reel. If you do that, it will be much easier for you to cast, hold the rod and retrieve the caught fish. Try it so you will see the difference. Greetings
