  • CTW Probe Feature - When you run a long series of speeds in a Test, the damper is warming and will likely be much warmer during the last speed compared to the first. We had a customer ask if this could be easily seen, temperature during each speed. We added this Feature to do just that. In the Test Data tab, if you expand the Column selector and check the box by Temperature, you now get the Temperature at each speed.
As the damper gets warmer it is normal for the gas pressure to rise and recorded forces can actually decrease. If you see a 20 deg F rise, you can investigate the effects and use this feature to quantify how best to view the results. You can examine running the Speeds in reverse order; it may result in less temperature increase going from Fast to slow.
More ways to use your dyno and Probe.
CTW Automation builds custom shock dynos (the RD series), spring raters (SR17) and electric linear actuators (the LA Series). It is also fully able to support and service any Roehrig engineering shock dyno and EMA.
