I can’t even open it with the plier 😂🤣🤣after unscrew both knobs. The front and back grill stick like they are infused together. My one is Kenmore® 16" High Velocity Fan, I wouldn’t buy it again if I can’t clean 😅😅😅
Thank you 😄 Removed the back and washed it in soapy water. Never thought of using my vacuum cleaner for the inside (without switching it on, of course). 😊
Yes u can take it apart without breaking it.. There's 2 screws right n the back hidden right on the fan where it swivels... Remember the 2 screws are on the fan in the Back..
I realized that shortly after I made this video and made a full pulling apart and cleaning video that I left a link to at the end of the video. Thanks for watching. Don't forget to stop by our website www.greatwhiteninja.com
Just wanted to say thank you!! I couldn't find any videos to show me how to actually clean that damn fan, until I read your comment, then I was able to get it apart!! YAY!
Great, off to Home Depot to buy one of those blowing contraptions. Living on the 14th floor, never did I ever think I’d be needing one of those. Hope it’s cheaper than a new fan. 😁
A good cordless blower is not cheaper then a fan. Even a cheap blower is more. But, if you want to clean it the old fashion way, here is a video for that. ua-cam.com/video/a9kyxcSHEc4/v-deo.html
Here I am trying to figure out how to take apart the nasty thing and maybe I’ll just give up and buy a new one and hello! Pure genius! And yes it works!
That looks like a pretty good system. I don't have one of those leaf blowers so I do what you're basically not supposed to do which is I use the hose and I wash all the dirt off that way and then I leave it in the sun for days and days so I know it's good and bone dry.
This video show you how to take it apart. I do stop at taking the blades off because after that you have the motor and electrical. But with it open you can wipe them off. Though I think I just pulled them off after I got it open. There might have been a set screw holding it on, I can't remember. ua-cam.com/video/a9kyxcSHEc4/v-deo.html
Nathan, looked all over of how to clean a Lasko Cyclone 3520. Mine has been running solid for three years, I have two of them. They are great fans but you cant disassemble them with out a chance of breaking them. I went with your simple method. Blow the shit out of them and then clean the outside. Good and simple. Thanks.
Thx bro, we got Kenmore® 16" High Velocity Fan and we couldn’t release front and back grill apart. 😅 we do have the blower. I’ll give it a try tomorrow when my hb at work. He think it’s not dirty, I really want to dispose the fan if it would not be cleaned. 🤣🤣🤣
Oh dear. Someone just asked me what the single best invention ever. I said UA-cam, How to?.... As a single woman, my blow dryer is not going to work, in my apartment. Bro, is this your plan for your wife never leaving you?
I do have a video link inside this one, show up at 0:45 , of how to take it apart and clean this fan. You know, if you don't have a cool leaf blower. Thank you for watching, and please share. Check out hundreds more of our videos at www.aroundthehome.org/
They make it difficult on purpose so you will buy a new one instead. I take mine apart and clean it. It can be more difficult for seniors to do it and can be overwhelming for them. Seem like they could just make buckle clips for easy access.
It's not too bad taking it apart. I have a video link inside this video that shows you how. Thank you for watching, and please share. Check out hundreds more of our videos at www.aroundthehome.org/
I don't own a leaf blower either, and no longer have access to an air compressor. The easiest way to take it apart is to set it on a table with the front grill facing up. I had to use a flashlight to see in between the the grill and the housing to see little clips. Use a flat head screwdriver and gently work around the edge to separate the grill, clean and snap back together. Just in time for summer!
That would be a leaf blower. And sure, a vacuum would work if you take that fan apart. At the end of this video I have a link to the video where I show you how to take the fan apart so that you can vacuum and wipe out the dust completely.
Well, if there are no screws the cover may simply snap on. Of course, trying to pry it apart may break it. So you can chance that, or do like I did in this video and blow it out with a leaf blower or an air compressor. I think that will be your only options.
It's at 0:44 on the video when the link to taking it apart and cleaning pops up. Guess you didn't take the time to notice it, just to thumbs down this video....
I don’t understand why the company makes it so difficult to take apart vs the industrial metal fans and their clip on screen grills
Its easy theres 2 screwed on each side hidden and then the drop will come right off

I can’t find the screws? Where on the back?

How do you clean a hurricane box fan that has no screws?
I was skeptical on how well this method would work, but I tried it and wow that's effective 😁👍

This way better than the other task! Jts too much eventually it has to get done though!
Thanks, I have it on my list to make a new video to take it apart and fully clean it.
I use my dyson on maximum power and as I have allergies I prefer to take the grill off

This fan works well but if your looking to get sick with all the dust works even better. You will never be able to disassemble & give it a good clean.

I have the same fan. Can't I take it a part? I have no leaf blower!
You know, you are not the first person that asked that. I will see if I can make a video on that by this weekend.
