This is a song celebrating the miraculous power of prayer. The purest action of higher love is to pray for others... indeed, to be ABLE to pray for others. To be ABLE to pray for others is a divine mercy, because we become a vessel for the healing power of love that comes from beyond our will, if we can accept aligning with that higher will, unconditionally.
There are many aspects to the 'mechanics' of prayer that have divine meaning. For example, we clasp our hands in prayer to dissolve our duality, and balance the spiritual and the materialistic aspects of our being.
So, a question may arise. How do we decide who is worth praying for? Here, the 5 fingers on each hand can provide guidance. The thumb is for the family; the index finger is for our special personal teachers; the middle finger is for our leaders or gurus; the ring finger is for our relationships, pets, friends & colleagues, and the little finger is for all the little problems that we know of, like illness, weakness & suppression for example.
We can also pray for the dead, for those in between death and a new life. The souls of the dead will find dissipation of their pain if we pray for them.
And we can pray for our enemies, for those who judge and accuse us, because we must accept responsibility for drawing such things to us. Our karma will draw certain situations to us in order to facilitate awakening, awareness and resolution in our own souls. Our higher self invites the judgement, which in turn is a message from the great all and everything... even if it feels unjust locally (ie a distortion, projection or wrongful accusation), it carries a truth against which we must measure ourselves. If the judgement has some truth in it, we would be well-advised to take it on board, and if it has no truth to it then why might it hurt? In that case our self-belief is tested.
Prayer should be a state of being, and not seen simply as a task. True prayer is constant; 24/7. And actually, love is the only prayer. So even the housework can be a prayer, or raising a child. Here it comes close to the Zen concept of mindfulness in all things, however mundane or trivial, because everything proceeds from love. When we brush our teeth in the morning and choose what to wear, love is actually the impulse behind that... we want to nurture ourselves, and feel and look good. So ALL our best choices are based on self-love, and love of others.
When we pray the world becomes a temple around us. The act of authentic prayer spiritualises the material reality. It also strengthens the connection to our guardian angel, who watches over our progress on earth from the spirit world. In prayer we can find a cosmic power that surpasses ourself.
Prayer feeds the soul just as food feeds the body. It is like giving water to the thirsty. And prayer ultimately has the power to take the soul to immortality, literally, because through refining prayer we elevate and integrate our soul within the cosmos... our individual droplets become one ocean, and we become conscious of our eternal oneness. It is this consciousness that creates immortality. So prayer is a meditation practice that takes us eventually beyond the apparent and into the real.
Fighting to renew the world externally is less valuable and less effective than prayer.
I speak from experience and I know these things to be true. The trick is in being ABLE to pray authentically and not just go through the motions, and it takes faith, dedication & patience to come to that point of refinement. The optimum times to pray are around 6.00am & 9.00pm, but all times are good.
If we pray before sleep and upon waking, great changes begin to occur. Our sleep becomes more restful, and our dreams less disturbing. Our health improves and we are protected from accident, because by aligning with spiritual forces we spiritualise our instinct and intuition clairvoyantly. We start to know better what or who to approach or to avoid.
The purer we are, the better able we are to pray authentically. Therefore we should eat what grows in the sun, and avoid animal products, alcohol, drugs, processed foods and toxic conditioning & media. Fasting also aids the power of prayer because it elevates us more to the spiritual reality as compared to the physical.
I came to write and record this song, and make a film for it through the power of prayer itself. With my un-spiritualised will I don't think I could have gained such clarity or inspiration. Katinka, who sings with me here, used to pray organically and intuitively as a child... as I did. These were not church prayers, but heart-felt conversations with the angels. They were necessary... vital in fact.
Prayer is basically an invocation for a blessing of redemption. That's why we say: "God bless you", and why we should also say: "God bless me".

I am experiencing your music on a deeper level. I got home tonight and found there was a party going on less than 20 yards from my back door with a DJ and the amplification so powerful that it feels like something hitting my energy bodies and chakras, and based on experience we can expect this horrible racket will be going on until 3 or 4am. I am too close to it for earplugs to have any affect, I am in the energy field of this noise that in my opinion comes directly from the hell worlds.
So, in the past I would go into an emotional melt down, or even in the past I have left and spent money I couldn't afford to get a hotel room for the night.
This time I turned on my computer and started playing your music and turned up the volume very high, more than I ever normally would. It created an energy field that the evil from the noise next door cannot penetrate. I can still hear the beat of it but it is not able to impact my energy bodies. The light infusion from you music is so high. Wonderful. Thank you.
That's the trick... to find our soul vibration; our ray of being. Then all our atoms are harmonised, like when you hit a sand-tray with a tuning fork, and it makes a perfect pattern. That is what we are. The DJ thing is also a pattern, but at a very different vibration. 20 yards away is way too close for comfort, though. I'm so glad my song helped take you back to your frequency!
