- A satirical comedy about a down on his luck publicist, who gets his lucky break when he discovers a man recently released from a mental health facility looks just like a method actor who refuses to leave his trailer. With the help of a powerful producer, the publicist helps the man become a huge star, even marrying his beautiful leading lady. Their adventures lead them to cross paths with drunken costars, irreverent unhoused action heroes, unpredictable directors, super agent, and power-mad moguls. The world needs more Charlie Day.
Charlie Day every day.
And all of his friends
June 6th, you will with new Sunny season 😊
@@Rheisler1475 thank you for the best news I got all day brother
@@KaosMasterX you are very welcome bro ua-cam.com/video/4a7SAcLSuy0/v-deo.html
Glenn Howerton in that manager costume is comedy gold lmao. Looks amazing Charlie!
I didn't even realize
Yeah, I paused and went back cuz I was pretty dang sure that was him. And looks like we get Jimmi Simpson (AKA Liam McPoyle) too.
At this point, I wanna see them just go all in. Let’s get Rob, Danny, Kaitlin. More of the side characters like Hornsby (Cricket) and Mary Elizabeth (the waitress).
If Don Cheadle shows up, I might just lose my shit!
@@ShoulderUnderwear pretty sure that was the Waitress and Artemis at 0:57
@@robertwinslade3104 Oh shit! You’re right! Thanks!
Yeah hopefully he doesn’t make anything like Velma again
Charlie Day pulling some Charlie Chaplin vibes and I'm down for it, looks good
Harpo Marx vibes too 😀
I'd say Peter Sellers
@@djbioman4898 That’s what I got, I think I saw someone else call this movie Been There.
@@quinncide **Being There
aaaand... it wasnt't 😂
The movie feels like a very old Hollywood idea. A wacky absurd premise with leaps in logic and physical humor. I'm into it.
Also I can't really tell what time this is set in, and if that is a part of it, I really like that.
I like movies like that, cheers for more!
"Being there" with Peter sellers. Playing a fool who people take to be a genius and rising through the social hierarchy.
The plot is similar to the movie "Bowfinger" with Eddie Murphy and Steve Martin. That being said, I'm looking forward to it.
Check out Being There with Peter sellers
The end of the trailer shows a mocap suit, so it's clearly modern day. Plus there's mention of Prince Harry.
Thank god "Cocaine Bear" won't be Ray Liotta's final film.
So fkn tru
If I remember correctly this was filmed a long time before Cocaine Bear. Just got delayed in its release.
100% agreed. Let that man's legacy go out with a bit more dignity.
Cocaine bear was fuckin awesome
A truer words have never been spoken!
They keep releasing new Ray Liotta movies like he's Tupac.
its like he didnt get killed enough in cocaine bear... what a weird tragedy
I mean, it is a joke.
He was really famous but mostly did small parts, so larger quantity of appearances and they're always conspicuous because he's iconic and dead.
@@mctheplaywright BREAKING: ONLINE USER DOESNT GET A JOKE
Pondy and Liam are in it? That's a yes for me, dawg.
and the waitress, and Artemis, and Dennis, and Schmitty! Wonder who else will show up in the movie
And Bill Ponderosa (and Lisa Schwartz who played the girl in Thunder Gun Express who shut down the movie theater)
But no sight of either Rob, Kaitlin or Danny - so probably no cameos 🤷🏼♀️
Pondy's the coolest
@@itmeyaboitheline3419 Danny was supposed to do the Ray Liotta role, but couldn't due to scheduling conflicts
@@raph6931 to be honest, thank god. i love it’s always sunny but danny playing lattes manager would have felt a bit too on the nose for it’s always sunny cameos/roles and im glad ray gets to have his final on screen role in this wacky, well shot and probably hilarious film
I love how many IASIP actors one already sees in the trailer. I bet there's gonna be at least a couple more at least as cameos.
Definitely Peter Sellers "Being There" inspired. Im all in!
I agree totally. The whole time I was getting such a Chauncey Gardner vibe. I’m really excited to see this.
Chauncey Gardner was my first thought as well
Yeah, that was my first thought, too. Hope it's able to carve out its own niche. Peter Sellers is a hard act to follow.
My first thought at well. But this looks much more fun.
Yep he just talked about his inspiration in a new interview on a video called Charlie Day’s Closet Picks. Mentioned that in there
An original comedy by one of the funniest comedic actors today. Cant wait!
Not really that original. It has a similar premise to Being There, a movie made with Peter Sellers as a simpleton gardener who, through circumstances becomes a celebrity and an important person in the political theater.
@@richardlarson9459 Or Stranger in the Crowd. It’s still an original comedy, even though it’s a familiar premise.
Getting some "Being There" vibes from this one!!!
Vibes? It's called recycling. Over and over again. The same stuff with different packaging.
Isn't enough yet?
Tell me your favorite movie and I’ll tell you from what it’s derivative. There are 7 basic stories to tell; it’s about how they’re told at this point.
@@iwaisman Chill out, dickwad. This is an independent film written and directed by Charlie Day, not some product of the Hollywood machine. Many stories utilize known tropes. “Being There” didn’t even invent this trope. It’s been done many times before that, and many times since then. Charlie Day is certainly aware that is a trope, and is aware that the audience knows it’s a trope. That’s probably a factor in the conceit of the idea.
I can't wait!!! This looks like so much fun and the cast! Yes Charlie! Yes
It looks great and a take on the old Peter Seller's film called Being There. The novel of the same name is great as well.
Man, I need this song remix of *Bing! Bang! Boom!*
Charlie mixing Chaplin and Sellers in "Being There" looks brilliant!
Suddenly there is a must see movie coming up
I'm getting major silent Era vibes, like Chaplin or Keaton. I LOVE it 😍
I love sunny and Charlie Day is fantastic.
Is that the Golden God himself as Latte’s manager?
YESSSS looks so good! It's gonna be so interesting to watch Charlie Day rely on mostly just physical comedy for this movie and it looks genuinely hilarious. Can't wait 👏👏👏
Is there a soundtrack. I love this song
Got a Forrest Gump vibe. Simple person goes on to achieve extraordinary things
RIP Ray Liotta!
Love that a lot of the sunny cast is in this
Nice to see Dr “obliterated” from Dennis’ dream/scenario and the “what about her breasts” discussion. He’s a doctor again. Kudos on a great career as a physician
Why does this actually look good, you can tell it’s inspired by chaplains work and I’m actually so excited
Buster Keaton
@JJMcgechan and Charlie Chaplin, I wanted to say it but I didn’t lol
#RayLiotta Final Role. We're Gonna Miss Him
No he filmed like four more movies that are coming out after this one.
Gonna be a masterpiece
Sure bot
@@zyrrhos not a bot
@@DarcyWalker Only a bot or someone being paid would call this a masterpiece lol
@@zyrrhos based off your subscriptions you don’t seem to be a fun person so I can see why you’d think that
@@DarcyWalker Not sure what my subscriptions have to do with it. I'm an award-winning writer/director, so pretty sure my background in film is more substantial than yours.
liotta coming back from the grave to bless us with these gems
Star studded cast! They all showed up for this! It’s sooo funny!
What's the name of the song during the second half of the trailer?
Bing! Bang! Boom! - Lu Ann Simms
Does anyone know what the song being played is called?
Navel-gazing Hollywood makes another movie about navel-gazing Hollywood.
How creative.
It has a very Charlie Chaplin/ Buster Kenton feel and I'm on board for it!
I love the character Glenn is playing!
So weird to see Ray Liota in new movies still. Probably his last? He will be missed greatly.
Wow. This looks incredible. I’m getting big Cohen Brothers and some slight Wes Anderson vines from this.
Looks like a newish being there! Im there for it
why is this not showing at any theaters or streaming anywhere?
Because of the implication...
Oh Kate is SO Adorable and Worked her Charm and Magic in Every Way.... And of course too mention this film is STAR STUDDED!
~xMx~
Grinning from Ear to Ear from Here! LOL All my Love!
This gonna be a banger
Something is telling me Charlie Day really likes the movie "Being There."
The Cinema, has been saved! Horray for Charlie Day. Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!
i miss ray liotta cant wait to see this one (:
I saw this movie a few years ago at Warner brothers studio to rate it and to not have to hear his voice was the best thing he can do for himself as an actor
This gives the same level of anticipation that the trailer for EEAAO made me feel.
And I haven't felt that shit in a WHILE
Didn't that movie come out like one year ago?
😆 Luigi has returned again from Super Mario Bros. Movie!
This looks incredible, I just hope the audio mixing isn't this poor in the final film. It leaves the scenes feeling a little empty, what with only the characters' dialogue being audible when they're in the middle of a crowd or in a speeding car.
Pretty sure the doctor in the beginning was also in IASIP in the convenience store robbery episode (Dennis's scenario).
charlie day i love you i would do anything for you you’re the most precious person ever i am watching the hell out of this movie
“Another” One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest 😅
So... Charlie Day playing Charlie Chaplin...yes. I will watch this.
Stowp Chorlie! This game has gone on looong enewugh.
2:05
Looks sort of like if Coen Brothers teamed up with Charlie Chaplin
Good to see Ray Liotta making movies at his age
This should be his last film before his death 😢
I'm lowkey disappointed that his directorial debut isn't in the nightmanverse
Please can we give film money to funny, mad ideas rather than dying mega franchises - coz this looks great
Go ahead, nobody is stopping you
Makes me think of Peter Sellers in “Being There.”
Should make an excellent double feature with Being There.
OMG Hahahahaha he knocked over / dropped the dish! FUNNY
OMG HE DID IT TWICE THATS SO FUNNY OMG HAHA
This was done by Peter Sellers in "Being There"
A crazy-looking movie. Not sure why we need two at once, as it reminds me of _Asteroid City_ coming next week.
Latte Pronto is Chauncey Gardner of course. There can never be another Being There, however, this doesn't look bad at all and I probably will shell out the big bucks to go see it.
Congratulations, Charlie Day!
Looks like 'Being There' crossed with 'Forrest Gump'. Keen.
Omg this is my new favorite movie!!
Cult classic!!!
It’s a remake of “Being There”
Brilliant!
Wow… just wow… genius! Bravo! Bravo!
RIP Ray Liotta
A movie that genuinely looks good in the 2020s, rare as Unicorn piss.
Nice to see Edie Falco as well, what a talent.
Has anyone seen Peter Sellers in Being There? Looks similar.
Quirky, quiet, sheltered character gets thrown into the world, his reserved nature leads people to mistake him for being wise or talented, woman who wants to sleep with him, character that questions his background… if this ends with him performing some kind of miracle then it’s a straight up rip off, haha!
@@GhostofBelleIsle straight facts. "When you have a garden..." haha
What's the song in the trailer? Tried to google the lyrics, but found nothing
Bing! Bang!Boom! By, Lu Ann Simms.🤗
@@Njae2000 Lord bless you! Surprised I couldn't find it myself :)
@@KlaymenDel My pleasure! I had Shazam on my phone, so I tried that. But, even then, it took like 7 tries before it was able to recognize the part where the song was clear enough from the trailer dialogue. I liked this song, so...I knew I had to find it when I noticed your comment!🤣🙏🏽🤗
Charlie Day doing Charlie Chaplin. Thank God he came up with this idea.
I love Charlie Day. I love always sunny. I love all sorts of movies. I went to school for cinematic arts. I love stories no matter how weird.
This was so bad and such a let down. I’m so disappointed. It was flat out awful. The only funny thing was when he kicked over the table with coke on it.
It was so bad and the ending was fucking awful. I can’t believe they did reshoots and this is what they ended up with. It was awful.
That good, huh🤷🏻♂️ Better than Freddy Got Fingered?
@@Chris-sl1whFreddy got fingered is one of the greatest movies though
Well, one thing’s for sure, Charlie Day is a good friend to a lot of people! I like the guy, sad this didn’t really work.
The bad rotten tomatoes score is a good sign
Charlie Day's Directorial Debut & One of Ray Liotta's Final Roles
This looks so fun! I hope it opens in Singapore.
Why Charlie Day look like Bobby Caldwell with that hat on? Lol
Sounds like you might need some additional preparation and after care next time. 😉 Congrats on the marathon.
Sweet Dee gonna be pissed 😂
Bill Ponderosa playing the 'Andy Richter' type
Anybody else notice that doctor at the start is the one from the Gang Saves the Day😂😂
Charlie Day doing a Charlie Chaplin, nice!
"Written, produced, and starring Charlie Day" is just a fantastic way to start my day.
1:52 that’s a 67 gt500 I am so gonna see that
“Being There” redux.
does anyone know the song i have found the original but not the remix version seen in the trailer
What's the original called?
The first 40 seconds of this trailer felt like a commercial
Glad Carmela is doing well!
All those guys from Sunny are so talented and so I have no doubt that this is gonna be one funny and entertaining film. 👍🏴
This looks great, love Charlie Day and this looks right up my street, great Buster Keaton style slap stick, some brilliant actors and a fun script to take your mind of the world's troubles, can't wait!!
This looks amazing! What era is it set it though? Haha I’m confused
Propbably 00s
1:18 is that bill ponderosa 😆
Indeed
Is this a Being There remake?
Easiest way to get a film made in Hollywood is make it about Hollywood.
This looks fantastic!
Damnnnnn this looks refreshing
What's the name of the track played out halfway through?
I don't think Kate Beckinsale ages.
I want this to be good, I dont believe there have been any really good comedies in the past 10 years.
just saw it. highly recommend if you are on the fence.
