All the people back home (rust belt)put a mixture of motor oil and diesel in a sprayer and and spray the underneath of their vehicles in the fall to avoid rust. Always works pretty good. Maybe something you might try.
i bought a 1994 xlt extended cab new. had it for 20 years. it never really rusted. it went through head gaskets like candy. it had 300000 till we stopped keeping track and just drove it around the farm
Shoot I got original scissor jack under hood on my Suzuki samurai with old gm late 70 early 80 bumper jack in back in tool crate. It saved me lot. Like a hi lift jack just little brother. And free got it out old car I owned years ago. Weld hook on it use it as two foot puller to. All kinds uses for both.
Had these on my sq. body. Replaced them w/the Monroe version > 7-yrs. More HD than the Gabriels & rated @ 1100# v. 550# on the Gabriels. Haven't driven it yet nor towed, so..?
Them tires look a lot like the ones I got on Sammy thunderer trak mtII. 235-75-15. Compared to 205-65-15 that’s factory there huge. Two inch shackles with greasable bolts.
you should wire wheel the frame and axle, then spray some rust reformer on them, and finish off with a spray on undercoating to help make it last a bit longer.

Iv got a 02 4.0 ranger and it has 290 and then it dropped the back timing chain and I was going ab 45 mph and that made for a bad day. I can't really complain about it because I got it at 135 or 140 and I never changed the oil in it at all I just run the hell out of it. Iv halled full size chevy vans and a e350 ford van with it. I gave it a hard life then it just had enough of it one day and then it dropped the back chain and that was all she wrote. To get back on the rd I'll have to redo the whole top end and mabey a few pistons and both heads
My 03 s10 has super soft rear suspension its the it's single cab with the almost 8ft bed I think the weight capacity is 500 pounds ?? But idk maybe people want more travel for more weight. 🤷♂️
It’s a damn ranger, you want to haul something buy a 1/2 ton or something bigger. Bet you didn’t replace the u-bolts either! See you did full send on that shock bolt cause you couldn’t get it lined up properly.
I used to live in Ohio for a few years ,they used pure salt on the roads for snow and your car was white all winter. I'd see cars that were 5-6yrs old that had a few rust bubbles already starting on a fender lip. It was a god awful place, the rust belt. I'm now in the lighter rust belt known as upstate NY. Up-upstate is sort of included in the rust belt occasionally.

Put a set of these on my 2000 Nissan Frontier. No more sag when hooked to a trailer. I like them.
Swap to a explorer rear axle you will get 35 spline axle shafts and possibly 4:10 LS. Use antiseize on the bolts.
I have a 1994 ford ranger 3.0 with 283,000 miles still running strong

It's Maine,good luck.
But then again, one of the cleaner cars I've had came from there.
@@MrTheHillfolk I live in Minnesota and do it to all my vehicles, it’s the only thing you can do to try and slow it down and make it look a bit better

Total newbie here Can these rear load shock be used on a live solid axle with leaf spring for lowering with blocks ?
Thanks for the upload. How are the shocks holding up?

appears that the clamp you put midway down the pack caused premature wear in between the leafs making the much weaker.
I think it's the beer cans they tried to pass off as spring steel.
My father has a 2010, I think it has around $150,000 km.

2002 Mazda B3000, manufactured by Ford, with 210,000 miles.
Wow you have the worst luck with springs bud lol. Next time around I'd go air shocks/bags or just stick springs with an extra leaf in them.
2002 FX4 4.0 187,000
