Were down the road from Wakulla springs.... Tates hell is great!!!! We ride the Apalachicola national forest weekly as a big ride with Tally Ho Off-road!
Matt, Thank You for All the planning You put into the Adventures You bring us🥵 Your attention to trail details, Your trail advice, Your snake (wildlife) information and Your Thoughtful presentation to us shows how much You Care💚 GOD BLESS YOU ALL FREELY JOYOUSLY AND ENDLESSLY!🙏🏼😇🙏🏼
Clay here, the trail was a lot of fun. Parts were super dusty with no breeze, so following distances increased to about a quarter mile at times. With years of off-roading experience under my belt I learned that tools, common used spare parts, tire plugs, jumper cables or jump box and, a full recover gear set-up are important for a stress free adventure.
Finding Bathrooms - the fight it real! Beautiful part of the state. looks dry but has the potential to be very wet. Thanks for the mid-trail inspection advice.
I often tend to plan out trails that pass somewhere that has a camping area or restrooms. A lot of the wildlife management areas have restrooms scattered within them and that makes for a nice and comfortable trail ride.
Tate’s Hell and the Apalachicola National Forest is a great place to explore. I’ve been several times and the last time we entered the forest in Eastpoint and drove all the way through to Tallahassee.
Lots of time there as a kid. The first time I heard the Tate’s Hell story it was by a master storyteller. We were under a bridge in the Forrest hunting for snakes for FSU.
Hello. .. Thanks for all the time and effort you spend making these videos. I really like the way all of you explore the areas. Great that you inform on closed trails and practice leave no trace and tread lightly. I would love to tag along on a weekend ride some weekend and pick. Your brain. But I will tell you I’m leaving a dust trail if I see a snake around! Lol…………….. Keep up the great work! Btw I’m in the Brooksville area….
Thank you - we will be covering from Marianna Caverns to Crestview. That is the area that hurricane Michael tore up, and we encountered several places that the bridges are gone.
Clogged air cleaner usually causes the Ecm to back down the fuel in the A/F ratio which will cause a slight lean condition this leading to higher engine operating temps.
It runs at the half way point most of the time. For me in the 2007 Red Jeep I had some issues and replaced the radiator because a small stick stabbed it in Ocala. The fan also went out over time all easy to fix.
@@FloridaJeepRides Do the early Jks have a buffered guage and if so can you go in and pull up the actual temp like you can on the later ones? One thing a lot of people don't ever think of when it comes to cooling your engine is coolant. Over time it becomes acidic and that eats plastic. With the majority of radiators today having plastic end caps, acidic coolant is usually the reason, at I think, for a lot of failures at least where there is plastic involved.
Florida has so much to offer, truly an amazing place. Are you using CB or GMRS radios for communication, they sound really great. My wife and I are enjoying the trip, thanks for posting. 👍
We use mainly CB, but have handheld low watt ham radios. Cell phones are used when needed too. I plan on outfitting both our JKs with GMRS in the near future for a fourth communications platform.
How's it going brother? I know I'm late on this but I just found out about y'all. That breakfast station y'all stopped at is a favorite of my family. I live in Sopchoppy just a couple miles south of Tates Hell. My family and I go here every weekend to just ride and explore. We love it out there, especially Crooked River and Womack Creek. Sunday Rollover is also a great area alongside Rock Landing. The reason you're finding gates in certain areas of the forest, is because the state decided to close off a lot of the trails and turned them into a private trail for horseback and OHV. It's a darn shame but that's the reality.
@@FloridaJeepRides My wife and I have been searching for that fountain for weeks now. We can't seem to find it. There were two of them but she was looking for the first one that was flowing straight up.

I have loved that area most of my life. We did a lot of herping in the 70s there. In the description is the Gaia GPS track.

Thanks Clay for your service to our country! 🇺🇸

We need to get up to Croom sometime soon. Citrus as well. And that will mean to stop at Coney Island.
Another awesome one…Thanks!!

nice ride

Good NDP- thank you. Same applies to the turf equipment I work on.
@@FloridaJeepRides IDK how the 3.8 is but the 3.6 is a hot running engine by design

wow a lot beautiful places ✌️
Thank you you will probably enjoy daily number four through Blackwater. It was incredible.
Was up in Blountstown for hurricane Matthew
Fiddler’s Steamhouse & Oyster Bar was a great stop while up that way. Good food and a cool train.

There was a group from Orlando up that way this weekend. I'm glad to see some preservation of land for others uses. We absolutely love that area.

I love the theme on this video. Hope you’re happy, now I’m scared!👻🎃
It’s a big place and there is a crazy back story about Cebe Tate
@@FloridaJeepRides someday I’d like to hear the story.
Scatt with Matt should be a regular feature 😅
Ill try... I did find more but only put one in the video.
can you explain exactly where you started and exited out of the forest? I want to drive that same trail

Could you share your trail log for this trip?

Let's try that one
👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you.
Wave
Your correct black bear
Thanks that's what I thought.
" that's one big turd" lol
You need a little flashy light on top of your Jeep so everyone behind you knows it's a full blown turd alert
I had stopped like three time but only put the big bear scat in the video.
@@FloridaJeepRides biggest turd always draws the fanfare
Florida panther isn’t that big
I haven't seen one in a few years. At time I believe one passed ahead of us down in the three lakes area.
Scat...maybe dusty had to go...lol
Do cow patties count as scat?
@@FloridaJeepRides Hahhahaha Flat Scat..maybe.
