Many thanks for posting these videos. Very interesting to compare the CP A320s with the US Airways that went down on the Hudson. The later was equipped for over water flights and had instructiosn to put passengers on the slides/rafts. The CP instructions were to get people to jump in water and hold onto the slides that were not rafts. CP's 767 were all -300ER, so I assume all equipped for over water flighst (though note at the end of this video, the rafts appears to have recently been added). Also of interest: these videos predate 9-11 as they task flight attendants to open cockpit door to check that pilots have evacuated.
I think the CP instructions to hang on to the rafts rather than get in we’re because the A320s weren’t used for overwater flights because of the then still in use 60 min rule, so the chance of having an emergency where there isn’t a nearby airport wasn’t very high, so it didn’t make sense to have larger heavier slide rafts that would probably never be used as rafts. Ofc nowadays A320s are frequently used for overwater flights but back then the chance of an a320 being out of range of an airport was pretty low
Ouch that door handle, I was always worried it would hurt me when closing the door. I loved working on the 767's but those doors were kind of heavy and weird to operate.
some random channel/ SPCdenhamsprings70726 it's because the recording is in mono while headphones are a stereo audio system, only one of the audio channels will work, suggestion is to turn on mono audio on your device if possible
If you have never done LSD or Mushrooms, the way people appear to move in this video is how you see things while under the influence of those two drugs. Now you know.
The life raft section looks real fun, more like a holiday adventure rather than a traumatic experience following a plane crash!

That would be cute to see the infant life vests demonstrated. I understand they are styled like yellow rubber duckies
Clearly an Airplane reference!
Flight attendants clearly enjoying themselves at 14:50 !
I think sliding down the slide would be a blast too!
Definitely!

Interesting training instructions for flight attendants
I loved the 767, favorite is still the 747, with the triple 7 as a tie
B Cam say nothing of 757)))
19:15 “launch the raft into the water”
Damn bruh, that’s some solid ass water. That raft isn’t even bobbing. 🤣🤣🤣
Why are the cabin door viewing windows so small? in an emergency evacuation it looks like it would be rather difficult to ‘assess outside conditions’?

SonattaMorales did you work for Canada 🇨🇦?
Why are there so many ways to open aircraft doors? You’d think the industry would standardize on how to open doors
10:53 the American version is: “turn the window sideways, and *CHUCK THAT SHIT OFF THE WING* to avoid blocking the evacuation route”
True
See why this is my dream job
Its mine too!
Is that Video from the 80s?
It’s weird. I think opening a oxygen compartment is satisfying...😂😂😂
So what happens after evacuating?
I 💜it
Glad you liked the video!
What year was this and all of the other Canadian airlines training videos made?
CalgaryAirportCanadaBoeing737-800
Probably around the early 90s.
Omg there are restraints on board air craft!?!
For unruly passengers.
*becomes flight attendant cutely*
Is that not Noel Genoway?
Can you try to fix the audio
What seems to be the problem?
+thedman1992 sorry I wrote that comment a while ago when I had faulty headphones my fault
thedman1992 only one audio channel works

Connor McColgan that makes since
This looks like a garage door at 2:06
