Jet2 Again - What’s It Like Flying From Gran Canaria To Bristol Airport?

- We’re flying with Jet2 again. We are on board a Jet2 737-800 flying from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Airport (LPA) to Bristol Airport after a week in the sun. Join us for the trip report.
We usually film the outbound flight but these tend to be calmer as you are often flying from the airline's home airport. In our experience, the return flight from the holiday airport is usually more chaotic. Especially when there are two or three flights and only a couple of check-in desks open.
So, what was it like flying home from Las Palmas airport in Gran Canaria and how busy was it going to be?
Also, why was the landing time an hour later than advertised, was there an issue with the flight?
So, let's see what happened.
The Jet2 plane was a Boeing 737-800 delivered in 2016.
The flight time from Gran Canaria to Bristol was about 3 hours 45 minutes.

Thanks, we flew with them again recently to Malaga. I did film it but managed to accidentally delete the footage 😖 It was a busy flight and so was Malaga airport but they did deal with the crowds quite well.

When you said 'its calm so' totally far cracked me up - you looked quite petrified. So glad that restrictions world wide are more or less history. Did enjoy the few months of serious lockdown living in Thailand it was bliss getting to visit all the beaches and islands with almost zero tourists. Post Covid regional travel in SE Asia remains a real pain though, long queues in immigration and checking documents etc... we will get there I guess. All the best!

Should be OK and they have now removed the testing which was a pain and an added cost.
We came back Sunday 1st January but night flight to Manchester then taxi back to Sheffield btw we took easy jet Tui and jet 2 also same as EasyJet all UK flights are best
I had the same cabin crew as you when I went to Lanzarote in October from Bristol with Jet2. P.S I’m from wales too
Glad they now fly to Bristol as we thought the staff we're good and we would take Jet2 again.
Can you travel from and to the UK without taking a jab? Are you able to travel by only taking a lateral flow test?
You have to take a test before you arrive in the UK and if you are not vaccinated you have to quarantine for 10 days and take an additional two tests during that period.
