      Thanks Troy for sharing. I wonder if one were to instead of cutting, and softening a pair of the harder pair, like the red or blue ones, could strategically place a bead of soft silicone where needed in the vestibules of the softer inserts to firm them up? Just a thought…

    I have the greens in my 11lb cj7 trail rig. What I’ve noticed with testing all 3, red, blue and green is, it has a lot to do with the compounds of the tires as well as the weight of the rig you’re installing them on. I have blues on a 7lb rig with the softer Injora comp pin tires and the greens on my 11lb trail rig with Injora swamp claw tires. It all works, so it also has something to do with compounds of tires. Great work though testing and showing these inserts. Can’t go wrong for only 20.00 a set.

      Very interesting! Yes - the tire is part of the spring of the system as well - so makes sense that some tires will behave differently. Great point!

    Did these red inserts + outer foam (cut to fit) on a 5.40 tall tire. Something different on my hardbody. No more tire roll when side hilling. Alot of folks got blue or red instead of green. Cool review man!

    Nice to see that you use axle weight to determine the color of insert. Since i have a TRX6 i was considering a lighter option for the rear tires, this confirmed it.
    Now i only need to find out if i need red/blue or blue/green.

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  9 місяців тому

      Yes! The front/rear of a truck have such a big weight difference - I thought the "total truck" weight folks reference is a little silly.

    • @timommering7645
      @timommering7645 9 місяців тому

      @@RoadsideRC indeed. My TRX has a total weight of 5.3kg, but because of the dual axle i have roughly 1.5kg per axle in the rear and 2.3kg in the front. I'm probably going to do blue front / green rear as i can always get the red inserts if they are to soft and swap them out.

    I have a set of green and blue. Got blues first and end up clipping every other line on outer. And worked great. The greens o got after and yes they are very soft, but…. I utilized nerf darts as tuning rods. Been I had a a heavy rig I utilized a dart on every hole on inner side and made a big difference and performs pretty well .

    Hi Troy great info and video man! I wonder if instead of snipping a pair of the blue or reds, one could add a bead of soft silicone in the vestibules of the side wall adding rigidity. Just a thought….

    I live in Phoenix, Arizona, where it’s pretty damn hot. I can confirm that they don’t change under different temperature conditions enough to even notice. I have a full metal TRX4 and the blues were still way too hard. I’m tempted on trying these green ones on it but I’m going to cut quite a bit out of the blues and see how soft I can get them. Yes, I commented on your other vid but I want people to see that it doesn’t change underneath heat enough to not just liberally snip away as you need. Thanks for the videos!
