Seriously, we need more of similar contents broadcasted worldwide.. this is so much fun to watch professional corps rehearsing. Bringing back all those great memories of marching on the field and working with bands up from the director's podium. Big big love from Indonesia!

i think hes talking about the fact that most corps are having to play catch up in a way, getting their members in good shape to play for next year. they sound very very dirty in this video which makes sense, but it seems as though the game right now is who can build up their talent pool the fastest.
I wish we saw more commentating in drum corps and drumline! maybe not always simultaneously though

The Bluecoats will perform for about 100,000 people this summer... not sure about you, but that’s worth it for me.
@@SilverTheFlame Is that per stadium or satellite feed? Hey, a buck's a buck. How many of that 100 thou are going to be repeat viewers? Roadies? Caravan hangers-on? Most of the interest I've noticed in these posts seems to be halfway around the world in Asia. Is that where the big booster bucks are coming from.these days? We just passed the dateline for the trad regional qualifier shows & we're seeing wk-old posts of big shows still being put together. Get real. Are you talking audiences or investment presentations here?

@@fishy_vinny My problem? As far as DCI is concerned, where shall I start? But ok, let's take a look @ this for what it is: The DCI hierarchy scrambling to keep this inanimate corpse on life support. Why? Easy. Money. Not for the legions of kids who want to.participate in this glorious activity but for MONEY. Look to your history. Way back when, when DCI was a fledgling w/actual competition, the organizers flocked around the big shows trying to build support & it seemed like each new contest they had another new reason/excuse/rationalization. Sign on w/us, they showboated, & do away w/the military knuckle-dragging authorities whose only purpose now is to exploit these children for the money they make off 'em.
I've watched them ever since busy doing THE EXACT SAME THING. And they're so obsessed, so nigh on panicked @ the prospect of what they built coming to an end that these days they're not evdn clever abt it any more. "What?! And give up show business??!!" Oh, & btw, abt those poor souls you think I'm denying an oppty to perform? I say: Have @ it. But I doubt if you can pull off what has to be done to make it happen. Bcs you don't need the DCI-style "Lights! Action! Camera" treatment to do it. All you need to do is get on the phone w/your friends. Get out & March. Get out on the field AND PLAY. That's when you just may discover what it is abt this activity that's really worth saving.
Like they said in The Wizard of Oz:
"You had the power within you all along...".

Ah! Now you can see what the "Go big or go home..." mindset has done to drum corps. Welcome to the world the DCI mavens decided to leave behind.
In nearly 40 yrs they have come full circle to becoming exactly what they made such a big deal of despising.
And that's only ONE of my "problems".
