- How do you clean up oil based printing ink?
One of the most common things I hear is that people won't use oil based inks because they're under the impression that you have to use harmful harsh chemicals to clean up with. This simply isn't true and in this tutorial I'll show you how easy and safe it can be

Wow, you just gave me the answer. I was wondering how to clean up my roller after using oil based ink. Thank you so much!!
I have always used water based ink because I thought you needed chemicals to clean up, now I might give oil based ink a try!
Cool 😀 hope you get on with them 😁
Hi! What do you do with the newspapers with the scraped and rolled ink on them? I assume it’s not safe to throw them away still wet? Hang them up to dry with the rest of the prints?
Yeah you could do that, I just pop them in a separate bin, then pop out with the recycling. Haven't had any issues. Probably good to check with ur local waste/recycling folk 😀
Can your wiping cloths be cleaned with laundry soap or do they need special treatment?
I normally soak them in washing up liquid, but laundry soap would work. I normally do it overnight, then hand-wash them the next day. You won't get them super clean, but clean enough to reuse them. I do this until they start to fall apart before using newer ones 😂
@@KerryDayArts great tips, thanks!
