    When you consider that a 3.2V lifepo4 cell is considered fully charged at 3.6V and empty at 2.5V the shutoff voltage of 48.1V is protecting the cells and discharging to 44,8V or 44V might give you the full 5Kwh.

    This is the best felicity battery capacity test I have ever seen.
    Please keep on the good work.

  • @DrEnockNorthVoltageEngineering

    86%...The DOD mostly is around 80%...I had a chat with Felicity Engineers. So 86% of capacity is good for use. When one designs a system, a service factor of 1.25 is recommended. 25% of capacity should be left to increase the life of batteries (LiFePO4).

    I believe in a previous video one of the qr stickers says 276wh right, so thats 86ah. The total capacity would bd 4.41kwh, so it is close enough.

    4.3/5.0 x 100%= 86%. Not bad but could have been better.
    Any reason for not being able to set the highest charging voltage(floating/absorption) to the recommended 57.6v or even to 55.2v? Probably, you could have gotten a higher capacity than the 4.3Ah if you started draining from the higher floating voltage.
    Well done Sir for the review..

    • @diyfalke
      @diyfalke  Рік тому +1

      I attempted to charge the pack to 57.6v, but as the voltage hit 57 sometimes jump to even 60v, the charge controller will cut off with an error 04, which means battery voltage too high. Then it will reconnect and attempt to charge to 57.6v again. The only two logical explanation i have are either the MPPT is not good or 57.6v is too high for the packe.

    • @diyfalke
      @diyfalke  Рік тому +2

      I tried 2 other MPPT (both Felicity) reduce the charging voltage to 56.8, 56.4v, 56v, 55.6v, and even 55.2v, the same thing happened. Until I assume the pack is 15s, and take the Max for cell to 3.65v which gives 54.75v, the battery charge in a typical way, and the soc bar indicates fully charge. So until I open the inside, I think the battery is 15s, and you can only charge 16s to 57.6v i.e 3.6v per cell.

    • @DrEnockNorthVoltageEngineering
      @DrEnockNorthVoltageEngineering Рік тому +1

      @@diyfalke Being too long at the peak voltage or lower voltage is something the BMS will not allow. Also, it could be the software aspect. We did one installation last year we had error 04 for the 5 kW Inverter (IVEM) and the 170 Ah / 48V at panel voltages higher than 270 V (for 450 V maximum). We reported and were sent a software upgrade for the Inverters. Once we upgraded the software, the error was no longer there.
      I see it as a good move for the BMS regulation as you can still build charge at the other voltages.

      I have had this for only 10 weeks, so far there no single issue, the main issue many had with Felicity batteries is the overrated capacity. Compared to other brands like Pylontech, EG4, and BattleBorn etc, Felicity cost a fraction of these brands, the Felicity LPBF series have greater value for money, I will hardly recommend the LPBR series to anyone. The LPBA series are in the same league with EG4 in the price range, amongst the two, I will always go for EG4. Hello bros, how many hours backup time will Felicity 5KWH/24V LITHIUM BATTERY power 550watt load.

    • @diyfalke
      @diyfalke  Рік тому +4

      To calculate backup time for 5KWH battery, you first decide the depth of discharge (or usable capacity) say Felicity recommend 80% DOD, which means the usable capacity is 5000Wh * 0.8 = 4000Wh. This means you can run a load of 4000w for an hour.
      2. If the load of 550w is including the inverter no load consumption fine, else add the no load power consumption to the load. This can be found in the inverter manual, or you can measure it with clamp meter.
      3. Divide the total load(including no load consumption) by the efficiency of the inverter. Assuming 90% efficiency, that is 550w/0.9 = 611w.
      4. Divide the usable capacity of the battery by the the load result calcilated in 3 above. That is 4000Wh/611w = 6.55h or 6h 33minutes.
      Summary.
      The Felicity 5KWH battery can safely run a load of 550w for 6h33min.
