    Keep in mind that this test has been made in 1080p with a 4090, which means that a lower tier gpu or a higher resolution would make the difference minimal.
    I paired my 4070 with an i5 14500 for 1440p and its perfect.

    Doesn't the 14500 feature 5Ghz turbo on the P-cores according to Intel's website? It's only 4.6Ghz here. However the 14600k is 5.3Ghz as advertised. Something isn't right here.

    • @Trikipum
      @Trikipum Місяць тому +1

      the 14600 is unlocked, so you can basically force all the cores to whatever speed you can get. On the other hand, the 14500 is not unlocked and will only reach 5ghz turbo in a single core.. something that never happens really because there arent games or anything that only uses a core... it is a marketing thing.. that is why... it is the same for every non K cpu, they never reach the max turbo.. unless you are trying some very specific benchmark designed to pull just from 1 core...

    • @RafitoOoO
      @RafitoOoO Місяць тому

      @@Trikipumthere are games that only use a single core lol. Also, it should be boosting a few cores to the maximum turbo boost, maybe the clockspeed in the overlay is just an average.

      @Purql 2 місяці тому +6

      14400f it’s much newer

    • @Fusion05
      @Fusion05 Місяць тому +1

      @@Purqlthat doesn't mean anything in today's CPU market. 13th gen is nearly the same as 14th gen but cheaper. Also the i5 has way less cores than the i9, so even if it's older it could still push more performance in certain cases.

    • @1Phase1
      @1Phase1 2 дні тому

      @@Fusion05 Try to actually do some research next time before you go and spread misinformation, because the 14400f actually has 2 more cores than the 11900k.
      The only thing that's meaningless in today's CPU market is CPU number designations, at least when it comes to Intel. Case in point: the 14400f outperforms the 10th gen i9 and all previous gen i9s, and performs on par with the 11900k. Check CPUbenchmark if you don't believe me. The 11900k's only advantage is its higher turbo speed compared to the 14400f (5.2Ghz vs 4.7), which is negated by the fact that all i9 CPUs consume massive amounts of power and get really hot.
      The 11900k has a max TDP of 251 Watts when running at turbo speeds, requiring a decent AIO cooler at minimum, and those aren't cheap. In comparison, a 14400f has a base TDP of 65 Watts and a turbo TDP of 148. You could get away with using the stock cooler and you'd be fine, and you'd get even more performance by spending a measly 30 dollars on an air cooler.
      The "midrange" i5s of today outperform the high end i9s and i7s from just a few generations ago. You can't just judge a CPUs performance based entirely off of the arbitrary number Intel gives it. The fact that 14th gen is literally just rebinned 13th gen CPUs proves this. Everything I said about the 14400f applies to the 13400f as well, since the 14400f is literally just a factory overclocked 13400f (4.7Ghz vs 4.6 turbo clock). Don't let Intel's numbering system fool you. Think for yourself.
