Hello- I greatly appreciate these guides. I have been playing on and off since 2014 and have found it hard enough to deal with each new meta/map/items so having a guide that isn’t meta dependent is amazingly helpful.
I recently started playing and Ra has become one of my favorite characters to play. I come from other MOBAs like HotS and Pokemon Unite so it wasn't hard to get into it. Ra feels very similar to Mal'Damba from paladins as well so playing him felt natural and I've been doing great as him. My preference is to go lifesteal and prioritize healing my teammates while in the midst of a fight.
I'm glad you're enjoying Ra! Hitting his snipes can feel very satisfying. I like one or two Lifesteal item like soul gem can feel nice on him, but in my personal opinion are not mandatory. His healing scales with your magical power. Meaning the more power you have with items the stronger the healing!
To put it in other words, yes Hades can be considered as a counter match-up against Ra. But that doesn't mean there aren't any counter plays or work around to facing a Hades. Beads can help escape his ultimate. Ra's 3 (Healing circle) provides protections, placing it down can help survive Hades ultimate too. You can also brutally ult the stationary Hades in the face too
This guide is much appreciated, thanks for taking the time to make it for us noobies.
The pleasure is all mine, thank you! 😊
