It's the Static Test that is not more than 2 psi lost, the Applied test is not more than 3psi for a lost.

He didn't show the panic brake test, where you aim your truck at a schoolbus full of kids and nuns and baby ducks, and try to stop in time.

There's not that many steps for the brake check on a bus here in NY. More like a five-step brake test and we don't even check the air cut-off levels in NY. There is a seven-step brake check on the semi, though. I'm confident I'll pass the bus road test but I'm gonna folk over another $130 for an extra lesson to be safe; my test is in early October and I'm still a little nervous.

This was so well done. Thank you. In NY we have to watch that it's no more than a 3 psi drop....but I am assuming maybe where you take your test it's a 2psi....

You are correct with the steps but when you check the service brake you need to get up between 15 to 50 feet

Ok from 25 to 60 psi you rev your engine between 10 to 15 rpm until the alarm goes off at about 60 psi, you then stop revving at 85 psi, at idle you should reach 100 from 85 in 45 seconds or less, at idle your governor should sneeze between 100-125 psi !

We build our air pressure from 25 psi -85 psi then after that we allow the bus to build on it's own until the tank is full and it sneezes !

actually i didn't fail at all, i passed with a 100 when I went to take the test. See when you test knowledge of air brakes its strictly for knowledge of air breaks. The air brake test is a separate entity from the driving test so their was no expectation of seat belt during the air brake test.....and this will be my 4th year holding my CDL. thanks though.
