Tinfins has always been such a feast or famine kind of deck where you either you draw the entomb or you're trying really hard to find entomb or hardcasting griselbrand.
I have been messing around with Griselbrand decks recently that include Echo of Eons, Orcish Bowmasters, LED and Unburial Rites in an artifact shell using Beseech the Mirror, Mox Opal, Lotus Petal, Urza’s Saga, Lavaspur Boots. Entomb does heavy lifting, decklist is not finalized yet.
Back in the day, used to play white for monastery mentor, plow, serenity, etc. I wonder if going green (boseiju, chain of smog, witherbloom apprentice) is the direction to go.
Legacy deck names are not terrible! I don't want descriptive deck names. I want to play a deck called "duck party" or whatever other goofy bs. Mtg failed at being a spectator sport ages ago so having names make sense is pretty pointless. Have fun with it.
Theres definitely a balance between boring names like Griselbrand Combo, and pop culture refrences that has nothing to do with the deck's gameplan like Tin Fins IMO deck names like Hammer Time tread that balance well enough; it's a pop culture refrence, but one that fits into the deck's gameplan bc it's a Colossus Hammer deck
@@lancergt1000 tin fins is def a bit of a stretch. But things like Cheerios, Oops all spells, deadguy ale, team america. They all make perfect sense as names even if they're not descriptive at all.
Match 1 Game 2 I would have discarded the emrakul and kept entomb to just 15 them the next turn. Also you don't need the tendrils, you can play collective brutality as discard + interaction and then set up an infinite loop with children, and discarding emrakul to brutality, to avoid a pre-combo dead card
This list is missing Echo of Eons. Need at least one. I would play full set. Also if you have Echos then LED, Chrome Mox and Mox Opal make turn 1 kills possible. And Beseech the Mirror + 1x Song of Creation. Beseech can get Shallow Grave, so you don’t need six. Cut Lim Dul’s Vault and couple of lands to fit faster artifact mana. I would try to win on turn 1 instead of playing 8 counterspells. Children is too cute nowadays. Better cards exist.
