- That's how I always did my Ocean Kayak Trident ... until shingles hit me New Years ... and then nerve damage. Trying to get overhead strength back but not there yet. I have to make one of these contraptions. Brute force ... ha ha, I like that!
genius level idea. I just bought a two person kayak and it's just at my limit of what I can lift on my own at my age and put on my Honda Pilot's roof. In a year or two I wont be able to anymore. But with this idea, I think there's no end to how long I can use the kayak. Thank you for this idea.
I like how your using the paddle to separate the pcv pipe. Very innovative. I'd also run the strap under the cross bar just incase the jbar loosens but that 's mostly for long distance. Thanks for the video.
The best one man load so far. but you will have to bring those massive pvc pipes with you on your trip eh. What's important is you're not breaking your arms, shoulders, back, and knees.
Run your straps through the j hook, over the kayak (like you did) and then UNDER the cross bar near the side of your vehicle. That would be a big more secure.
This is brilliant! I bought one of those suction cup things from Amazon and load mine at the back of my suv, which works fine because even though I’m small, my kayak only weighs 45lbs. Nice to have an option for a heavier kayak!
Absolutely brilliant my HERO 🦸♀️..... I have recently purchased my first tandem kayak and I was wondering how I was ever going to be able to use it solo. Thanks very much 👌🛶🛶🛶🛶
Great video and idea. How do you transport the long PVC pipes with you to the water to use after you are done paddling? Also, there are often people parked next to me at the lake, so I am not sure how that would work.
I'm 70 and I still load & unload my Ocean kayak Frenzy by brute force. Maybe I won't be able to do it by next year, so now I have a choice.

Genius! Thanks so much, can't wait to try this. The oar trick addition makes this ingenious!

Very nice. Thank you for sharing. Especially like the holes and bungee cords where the pipe meets the roof rack.

You can add a safety line to the end of the kayak in place of another person to hold the stern.
Nice work. Always great to see people's ingenuity.

What's the sucker thing? Sounds interesting but don't know what you mean.
@@alkaholic4848 Google it :) Suction mount kayak loader.

Thanks very much 👌🛶🛶🛶🛶
Awesome video. I need to make the same thing. We have a tandem kayak and my wife's car is too high for her to give me a hand.
Brilliant, and brilliant! Thanks "mate" for sharing.
Great idea! Thanks for showing us!
Nice video. That's pretty slick! Congrats!
Simply genius!!!!
You really have creativity going on. I like 👍🏻 it!!
This is great, Well done!!
Aare laddoo do you carry those PVC pipes along with your to the river or shore
Yes we do. Pretty easy to strap them to the racks with the holes 👍🏼

@@TopDadDIY wash?!?
With the holes thru the tubes you could easily tie the tubes to the roof rack alongside the kayak.
People parking right next to you is a problem tho.
AWESOME IDEA!
Nice work.
This looks great. Thank you for sharing this innovative solution!
How do you store them for the trip to the water and back?
I strap them on to the roof racks - you can even thread the straps through the holes to make it more secure
Better than the $4500 option some places sell.
Thanks for sharing! Now I have to learn your number system. HA Ha ha, in the states...
Pretty neat.
BRILLIANT
Great, but you should incorporate sliding the tag end of the strap under the load bar.
I don't understand this suggestion.
Maybe tag end is slang for...?
Genius!
Only thing I'd change is probably take the seat off or strap it down so you're not smacking the shit out of the car
- Reduce speed to 50% , turn volume up, hit play , hover cursor over 2:37 , repeat a few times , ha ha , see black dent.
Dude cleaver
If you didn't have those J racks it would be easier.
🤔😮
Brilliant 👏 👏 👏
Tanks
👍👋👋👋🌹
Try a longer kayak 12 ft.... 75 lbs.... another story. Won't work
En verdad no funciona? Motivos?
