- On a cool November morning, the day before Thanksgiving!, we pour the foundation and basement walls. I love this phase of the project. Concrete has such a beauty to it. It is lasting and symbolic. It sets the tone for the rest of the project.
wow, good one. glad you can find beauty in concrete, lol,. i love when the faming goes up and covered before it rains. lol. try that.
Nice. Even with the snafu, those pumps are still far better than the ol' wheelbarrow! Looking forward to the slabs and pulling off the forms. Happy Thanksgiving.

@TheRobertdavie I like to get them in the dry quick too but we use a good subfloor so if it gets wet a few times it will not hurt it. Thanks!
work smart not hard. advance forms with a crane pump. tie build pour. we do about 5 basements a week. not little ones either!
Where is the scaffold system? Walking on the whalers is rather idiotic. Not only are you working unsafe, you are pulling your walls out of plumb!
Are you going to be using that same cracked from on the next job and the next. Just like where I work. Just put duct tape on it and leave it broken for the next guy.
ALL THESE FACEBOOK CONCRETE PROS. If everyone on here is so good at poured walls. I cant imagine how the guy on this video ever gets a paying job. lol but he did. Maybe they used a trailer pump because of over hanging wires or bad access from the top. I did a job with a trailer pump because the homeowner didnt wanna pump over top of a existing structure. Oh and using that 90 on that pump hose helps keep air from being forced down into tje concrete. Thats the main reason for small voids all over a pumped foundation. Oh and those forms are exspensive to replace. So most companies still use broken forms. There usually placed on the backfilled side of the wall so its not seen on a finished area. Facebook is a magnet for the pros though. Most are pros accross a wide gammit of jobs to lol
I can spot lots of things wrong here, but at least they used a poured wall system.
Oh, yeah, real fun, till its time to strip and load. I have been working these forms for 30 years. Strip and load like a sombitch before we had pussy boom trucks to put panels in the baskets. I like seeing the look on the youngsters faces when I tell em how we used to do it. Plus, I am the best.
Too bad the pump was not used properly, you know, like hanging the system overhead instead of dragging it in the mud and hanging into the wall.
