Why this channel?
I plan to show you how other nepenthes growers from around the world grow their plants on their windowsill and grow tent.
If you are interested and want to show us your plants, contact me so that I can set an interview.
(All you need is a recent smartphone and a good WiFi, I'll take care of the software).
Remy.
I really love the concept of this series where we can get practical advice on shopping for plants based on personal preference and windowsill conditions. It is a comforting kind of stream, I like to just watch while I make and drink coffee and relax!
Haha thanks :) I really believe choosing the right plant make it way more enjoyable
That veitchii in the background at the beginning is stunning Remy! Awesome video as always.
This was really helpful!
Dom is amazing and has some amazing plants in his greenhouses. I love stopin by to see everything and get some fun new plants. I have several of his neps and there still goin strong.
Keep the videos goin. Thanks for another good one.
I just ordered my first Candy Dreams from RLE! It’s supposed to arrive potted so I’m looking forward to its arrival ❤
Nice content as usual 👍🏼
Thx for that Video 👍 I would love to get a Hamata-hybrid on my Windowsill,
i want some cool Teeth on my Pitchers ;D
Any recommendations for an easy Hybrid with Hamata ?
N. ventricosa x hamata is great for me. Spathulata x hamata don't pitcher on my windowsill tho. But maybe veitchii x hamata would work too.
@@WindowsillNepenthes I give N. ventricosa x hamata a try then, thank you for your time :)
Yeah, Red Leaf can be pricey but you can be sure of prime genetics.
Yes, that's premium plant but it come with a price. And because they don't ship to Canada, I can't be tempered spending haha
what do the letters after the name of the plants mean? for example 5:59 N. truncata (c) or N. veitchii (k)
That's the special clone they selected for breeding. All seedgrown plants are a little bit different from their siblings.
ahh ok, also this was very enjoyable to watch
the letter is something like a grex for pure species forms. Pretty sure its not specific clones but more like different looking pure forms from different areas. Truncata can be found in lowland and in highland, the c is a green lowland form. Similar with vietchii, there are many forms and horicultural grexes. K and M are horticultural grexes.
@@WindowsillNepenthes There are many clones available from these grexes! Its not just clones, they have seed grown siblings that go by the same name!
@@BakuretsuKoinu wow ok thx
I got this in a auction N boschiana x 'msirv large plant you think it's OK on window sill ?
I don't know n. boschiana, but if my temperature was warm enough I would give it a try.
Hello! I love this series… is there a reason why you have not featured a Canadian nursery? Merci!
I'm waiting for Brad greenhouse to restock new plants and update his website for spring shipping :)
@@WindowsillNepenthes great! I am looking forward to watch that video!
I'm curious what's not to like with the Albomarginata? I have a couple so curious what I need to watch out for.
N. Also is great as a pure species, I just feel that's not great for making hybrids. ;) On my opinion 😅
@@WindowsillNepenthes Thanks. I was wondering if the white hood crosses over?
@@domgia9248 An Albo cross will loose half of the white collar. That too bad because this collar is exactly why this species is great. ;)
Would you do Scotland Carnivorous or Tom's Carnivorous Plants?
Sure! I'll add them to my list ☺️
@@WindowsillNepenthes thank you!!
Would Veitchii x Burbidgeae work on windowsill?
The temperature looks ok with 24 - 32 °C (74 - 90°F) during the day, and 14 - 22°C (56 - 72°F) at night. But you may need good humidity because of burbidgeae. But that's possible
can you do a website review for asian countries?
For sure, but I don't know the websites. Do you have names? like the top 3 biggest ones
Pitcher Plant Farm from Philippines everything is ethically sourced, cultivated, and has papers
@@clarencesiason8349 I'll add that to my list :)
Diflora is the cheapest supplier.
I like this type of content but the "music"" (same 6 notes repeating so not really music) was getting louder and pretty annoying. You don't need it at all
I was looking for gentle background music to be less "empty" ;) But ok it will be gone from the new videos soon.
@@WindowsillNepenthes Thank you :)
@@WindowsillNepenthesI on the other hand really liked it. I've heard it a few times in your videos and would like to ask for the title.
On the Audio Library (inside UA-cam Studio), it's the music "Dolphin-esque" ;)
