Double crop soybeans in Eastern Ontario!

First attempt at double crop soybeans was an amazing success! Winter wheat harvest was 20 days early than normal this year, coming off June 10-15. As a result we followed the combine with the drill and caught a nice rain right after seeding. Beans were up in 5 days with a great stand. September and October were wide open and flowering continued into October.
The soybeans averaged 35bpa at about 19% moisture with great quality. Great result!

farmers do that here but 22" row spacing weeds can be a issue in dry soil

We did 7.5 inch rows at very high population to get a fast canopy.
