- Its been about 2 years since the last time I made any content. The wait is over and its time to update you guys on the status of the Supra! Woes of stick shift racing continue!

Vlad I would look into belt slop with your pump being driven off the cam gear. When the engine bogs during launch or rpm drops in general, the pump is gonna slow down.

Have you thought about putting the surge tank up closer to the engine bay so the mechanical pump won’t have to pull so far from rear?

Hey Vlad, I would recommend two things for your fuel pressure issue. Move that surge tank closer to the mechanical pump. Maybe somewhere in the engine bay. Also check out this link. They have something called a fuel pump loop saver, it prevents dead heading which I believe is the problem your current pump is having pulling large amounts fuel from such a far distance in such a short period of time. Try facing your 2 dump tubes away from your trans. Face them down if you can.
