I have been so attacked and maligned for standing up for animals, especially those of the rodent family. it's always angry accusations such as "don't you know the damage they do to humans," and "why don't you do something for better animals such as elephants and whales." Yes, I do know the damage rats can do, and I have taken care of this humanely, even though they did cause destruction. The thing to keep in mind is to prevent letting them enter your home in the first place. I am sorry for your loss Bella. You were a great support to Hanna. I am sure she was very grateful to you for your love, care and companionship when her treatment resulted in such a cruel paralysis and everything she had been able to do for herself was gone. Thank you for helping her to live her best life until the end. 😥
This was a hard one for me. I have had three rescue rabbits and know that there is a bond that forms between two rabbits that is so strong and loving. Losing mobility in the back legs must have been terrible, because as any rabbit owner knows, they express themselves with their back legs, thumping if they are cross or scared, and doing binkies when they are happy. I am so sorry for your loss because I know how wonderful rabbits are
Sounds like the first vet treating Hannahs tooth problem made a big mistake and caused her paralysis. I feel sorrow for you and your little rabbit family.
It may be paralysis caused by E. cuniculi. A lot of rabbits are infected by this as early as in the womb, but don't show any symptoms. However, it may become active when the rabbit is under a lot of stress. A teeth problem that required a visit to the vet could certainly trigger it. It affects the nerves and paralysis of the hind legs is one of the most severe forms. The typical treatment is actually quite simple and cheap: atleast a month of fenbendazol. The real challenge is keeping the rabbit eating and drinking while the medication does it job, force feeding it if necessary. That may sound cruel, but if a rabbit stops eating, the digestive tract will slow down and eventually stop, often in as little as 24 hours. This will cause damage to their organs, ultimately leading to death.
@@Solkard Anesthesia on small creatures is notoriously difficult. On top of that, animals sometimes have undiscovered medical issues that mess with the sedation. One of the most heart-breaking examples at my shelter of choice when two males in the litter had a bad reaction and died within minutes of the anesthesia being administred. This was an experienced vet, trusted by rabbit shelters and rescues, doing a very routine procedure. Maybe your vet really did make a mistake though, some vets just aren't good with rabbits because it's often not much of a part of veterinary school. Tip for anyone who has a rabbit that needs to undergo surgery: ask the vet if you should stop feeding it before surgery. If they say yes, find another vet right away, because that vet does not know what he's dealing with. Rabbits aren't physically capable of puking and they need to keep eating, because a long period without food will shut down their digestive system, which can quickly lead to organ failure and thus death.
What a beautiful, yet tearful story. The love & commitment you showed this frail bunny is one of the most beautiful stories I’ve ever heard. May God bless each one of you involved. 👼💕
They needed to show Bella Hannah's body, so she understands that she has died. That's what my aunt (who is a vet) told us to do when my cat's brother died, because he was looking everywhere for him. He got depressed for about a month, and spent days after his brother's death sat in the corner facing the wall, but we showered him with love and eventually he cheered up. That was about 10 - 15 years ago now. It would also be good if they got another friend for Bella. They should introduce her to several bunnies to see which she gets on with best. Bunnies pair up for life, and they're social animals who need to have a partner.
I am sure they did, they still look All my birds gave our cockatiel kisses and said good bye once he had passed away and it still had a huge impact and caused one to pluck from the stress of losing his serenading buddy. They still make his calls in hopes he responds. Even though they were all there and witnessed the burial. Same for us humans, we still miss those we lost
The clinic that did this to the poor rabbit should have been reported to the Department of Licensing for investigation. A vet clinic here killed my dog and got an entire year of trouble and investigation.
Beautiful. Just beautiful. Thank you for not giving up on Hannah. (And thank you Bella for loving, unconditionally!) I'm learning a lot about rabbits...and their innate kindness.
R.I.P. little Hannah. I am so glad you had a fulfilled life with love, cuddles, and food. And may God's blessings be on the family who would not give up on this precious life.
You guys gave her love before the unfortunate effects of the procedure and you gave her that love right up until now. We don’t ever stop loving our pets or humans just because they have died. The bunny could never have been in a better place than with you and your husband. You gave bunny 🐰 every comfort, treat and possible advantage that could have been offered. Many blessings on you and your husband, as well as Bella, for the love and devotion you gave to Little Hannah. She was very special and so are you! Many blessings and prayers for your family from Tennessee.
I'm so sorry for your loss, but you took amazing care of her, and she got so much love! Bunnies are so caring. Whenever I cry, my Stella comes hopping up to me, gets in my lap, and gives me lots of kisses. Then she sits next to me with her tiny front paw on my arm, until I feel better. ...
It's wonderful how it's almost like Bella knew Hannah could walk and so helped her, truly wonderful those 2 bunnies, and you did a great job with both of them as a parent, rest in peace Hannah.
God bless you, your husband and Bella. You were awesome parents to your special needs bunny. I know that I'm not the smartest person, but I know for a fact that all animals are smart in their own way. That touched my heart when Bella would help her and watch over her. I know Hannah is up in heaven jumping around and she watches over her family. Thank you so much for sharing your video. Have a blessed day.
My brother's dog was the 8th litter from the mother and born weak. Half his litter died by the third week and most of the rest of the half died in their sleep for no apparent reason within a few months. Masu couldn't climb, had difficulty walking and couldn't run. He was also always tipping over, harmlessly but always for weak reasons, and apparently all he needed to gain strength was to continuously shove him off the coach and help him back up as he's praised. He's 8 now and the last of his litter, able to freely jump into the trucks bed and happily sparing with the two year old half pit on a regular basis

That first vet's anesthesia given did damage to this sweet bunny which ultimately killed her. I had my beloved cat "daughter" killed by an incompetent vet. I am now leery and very vigilant about vets.
@@danceswithcoyotes8273 WTF I thought vets loved animals but couldn't be more wrong. How can they hurt a defensless animal who was put in their care😔 I also have horror stories. I switched vets 4 times now. I have major trust issues and always ask to be in the room with the vet.
My mom loved her guinea pigs dearly and lost one to a vet who said she was experienced with them. Turns out she'd never seen one in her office until my mom brought hers in. Too much anesthesia and we never brought Shooter home. My mom was devastated and felt so guilty. It didn't help that the vet went on to blame my mother for it, telling her she was a horrible pet parent because he died. I did an intense amount of research before finding a suitable vet for my disabled cat, thanks to that learned lesson.
@@lemonzest_ i have so many vet horror stories too, literally the last ten vets I've gone to were SHOCKINGLY bad (I have a small farm so I go regularly). I brought my cow in, they told me "oh, this will be leather if she dies!" And they didn't even catch an obvious injury and I now realize all these other things they could have done to treat the issue that killed her which was the same way vets let 40% of baby jersey cows die in the dairy industry and that's from not being able to handle to chemical milk replacer. If the vet had just told me to try actual goat milk I bet my baby would have made it.
Hate these horrible vets. My rabbit died upon oxygen turned on too much into the mask. Alive brought in and seconds later died. Sweet hannah brave hannah. Sweet Bella great Bella. Hannah will protect Bella from wherever she is now

@@weshouldsaveourselves6780 Exactly... What I meant is that we have our own wants and worries, just all too often we a quite terrible about communicating let alone understanding ours...
Most animals on the other hand don't usually know why or how they feel the way they do, but they are quite adapt at trying to communicate with various techniques even between species...
Body language for one is a great baseline for communicating with anything that has eyes, the showing of teeth is an almost universal warning in nature that you want your space or tensions are about to escalate!
@@weshouldsaveourselves6780 wrong answer. Animals are even better than we are. We are heartless creatures. Animals are humble and don’t need money to be happy. Anytime I see people in the streets. I think about my bunnies at home and I get sentimental just thinking how humble they are compare to humans.
I started tearing up when Bella was looking for Hannah 😢
You are wonderful pet parents! I'm so sorry for your loss. Our bunny Marshmallow passed a couple years ago, so I can feel your pain. Just remember, you gave her the best life possible while she was with you. 💞 🐇 💕
So true, I hope they bought a new bunny for the other bunny, it would be horrible to let him be alone 🥺🥺🥺🥺m sure they did something for him as I can se they r such great parents 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I hope your baby had a very good life, rest in peace to Marshmallow
@@juanletsplay1550 we had 9 great years with Marshmallow. She was a happy little rabbit right up until she passed away. Thanks for your kind words! Much appreciated!
I have a bunny called Marshmallow but his brother Muffin crossed the rainbow bridge
@@pinkrebellionxyz1567 so sorry you lost your bunny Muffin. I know how sad it can be. Even though she's gone, I think about our little Marshmallow daily. All the best to you and your Marshmallow.
I am so sorry for your loss because I know how wonderful rabbits are
Thank you for rescuing three bunnies! Every rescue makes a world of a difference ♥
If she can be happy, we can't be sad.
that's the best attitude to have. good people.
Sounds like the first vet treating Hannahs tooth problem made a big mistake and caused her paralysis. I feel sorrow for you and your little rabbit family.
Finally someone said it. I was like 🤔🤔🤔🤔. Poor Hannah. I that’s awful going under for a procedure and come out paralyzed
Took my little bunny to get fixed and Vet also did an oopsie on the anesthesia and killed her.
@PipeRhymes If the vet didn't bring up this possibility when they saw the paralysis, the vet is at fault.
You guys had ap beutiful rabbit who while disabled, lived her best life, rest in peace Hannah
Awe this made me cry. What a beautiful story but so sad as well 😭
Can you spread love for rescued cats videos please
Everytime I come back to this story, It shows me what unconditional LOVE really is!😢
This legit made me cry. Thank you so much for not giving up on Hannah. 😭😥🥰💖

😭🤧 she was gorgeous, may she rest in peace, 🙏 Bella needs a new bunny bff, great video thanks 🖤
Support my cats videos please its beautiful cats
Pretty sure Hannah died laying next to Belle. So she knows that Hannah is gone
I am sure they did, they still look
All my birds gave our cockatiel kisses and said good bye once he had passed away and it still had a huge impact and caused one to pluck from the stress of losing his serenading buddy. They still make his calls in hopes he responds. Even though they were all there and witnessed the burial. Same for us humans, we still miss those we lost
If a bunny loses a friend and they don’t get to say goodbye, they spend the rest of their lives wandering around looking for them 😭
The clinic that did this to the poor rabbit should have been reported to the Department of Licensing for investigation. A vet clinic here killed my dog and got an entire year of trouble and investigation.
Heartbreaking but beautiful story if all humans could Love so unconditionally as all animals do, what a wonderful world this would be.
Beautiful. Just beautiful. Thank you for not giving up on Hannah. (And thank you Bella for loving, unconditionally!) I'm learning a lot about rabbits...and their innate kindness.
such a sweet Bunny!! and the humans took amazing care of her!!! 🐰🐇

If humans could be like these bunnies. Thank you for sharing.
What a beautiful story of unconditional love and friendship. I'm so sorry for your loss, but what a wonderful gift while you had her.
You get the 💜 people! Lovely ppl.
R.I.P. little Hannah.
I love you guys for giving so freely and not giving up. Thank you thank you thank you.
Her buddy will always be with her in spirit and in her heart! What a sweet bunny 🐰💓
okay the bunny looking everywhere for her friend that passed away @ the end .. heartbreaking.
"If she can be happy, we can't be sad" - that hit hard
I support all the hard work that u did for Hannah the Bunny, Kesia.
This is so beautifully sad. Thank you for your love for your animals. Sorry for your family's loss. 😍
Then she sits next to me with her tiny front paw on my arm, until I feel better. ...
Animals love and grieve for each other.
I hope Bella will have a new friend at some point. Such a wonderful care-giver. Thank you for sharing their story.
God doesn't exist and no one sneezed.
You are a wonderful person for caring for this little creature! Thank you so much!
You're a true angel on this earth for what you do for these adorable bunnies. God Bless you. I am so sorry for your loss. Little Hannah is a little angel in heaven. You gave her a wonderful life. Thank you.
Poor Bella please find her someone who she can care for
she might like a new baby bunny she could Mother.
this made me cry rest well hannah :(
Story of love and sweetness.
A bunny is part of our family and everyday he surprises us with his big heart. We can’t live without him. God bless animals. They show what is Love, pacience and loyalty. 🙏🏼
@@lemonzest_ same here!
Hannah will protect Bella from wherever she is now
You were so good to them, BOTH of them. You and your husband are the BEST kind of people. Well done!
When one of my bunnies got an eye infection on a weekend when the vet was closed, my other bunny kept licking it and by Monday afternoon everything was fine again :D I was so proud of my little bun-buns, then. Man, I miss them.
vet prolly would have killed it
Rabbits have very high empathy.
I’m crying 😭, We lost our bunny last year, it was the saddest thing. Thank you for giving your bunnies the best life here on earth 🌍
I love this. All animals have this ability to love and care for each other ,even the ones we eat. They are so much more than food ❤️

This made me cry, especially the end😭😭😭😭 Rest that rabbits soul
I didn’t know bunnies could be that smart. This video has changed my view on them. I hope to perhaps be the dad of one. Thanks for sharing.
They seem to be really socially intelligent? Like they'll form strong bonds with each other, but I'm guessing because wild rabbits live in very social communities.
What an incredible bond these two had. I'm glad Hannah had Bella and I'm glad Bella had Hannah 💖
Hannah and Bella, so much love and caring, RIP Sweet Hannah 😢💔😢
What a lovely life you gave this bunny… thankyou.
Oh, this story is a tear jerker. Makes me think of my dwarf rabbit who passed away almost 40 years ago. She was a beloved family member.😢Thankfully Hannah had loving pet parents and a wonderful sister. Looks like Bella is very caring and motherly. I hope you gave her another bunny friend to love.
This was so touching!!❤👏👍You all are wonderful loving people who helped her live her best life for the time she was here!! Bravo!!
Beautiful, thank you for loving her and caring for her so much. Sweet Bella will miss her little friend. 😥❤
RIP Hannah, I'm so glad you were able to stay for a little bit. Thank you for not giving up on her, for recognizing that she was a living being who deserved love and care. My sweet bunny Domino passed away suddenly in July 2020, so seeing videos like this makes me so happy, to see someone not give up on an animal in need
