Instant watch. Honestly, the long gap between more stationeers was probably good. Gives us plenty of time to build up the energy to watch more early and midgame
Oh, why thank you! My approach to Stationeers is to play with entertainment at the forefront of my mind. Stationeers is one of those games where you can easily spend hours trying to make 'perfect systems' which is cool to work on yourself, but fairly dreadful to watch, so I try to bang out makeshift bases that fulfill survival requirements but don't put people to sleep
@@Rhadamant I couldn't agree more. Much of the other stationeers content out there is informative, but difficult to watch. It's no minor task to keep the energy up in a game like this while keeping the video's flow cohesive, and you pull it off with ease! Once again, phenomenal content, keep it coming!
@@Rhadamant it's been at the back of my mind for some time to start my own playthrough of this over on my channel, but I wasn't sure I could keep it interesting while also making sure that what I'm doing is comprehensible to the uninitiated 🤣 I've learnt a lot from your particular style of content creation that I think might be useful here. @@Rhadamant - Well, it has been quite a long while since I have played this, sort of stopped shortly after the "food rot" thing, it rather annoyed me that canned foods could spoil, kind of turned "fun" into "work" for me, however since I haven't really played since your last series just about, perhaps there are a lot of new improvements and such, guess I'll have to watch this now and see what is or is not new. :)

I certainly enjoyed you playing Stationeers again. In my opinion it is very good game to watch at as all interactions are clearly visible to watcher. So are game bugs but current stable branch is mostly playable. I hope this game lasts for little while.
That airlock piping is an interesting idea. I played with valves and pipe meters - basically a few pipes are enough to hold the pressure of the airlock - so it pushes and pulls only from the attached pipes which is super fast. However when there are.... SOME people playing with you, who are too impatient to wait for the full circle, leftover atmosphere in the pipes builds up and it get's ugly if you don't air those pipes out occasionally... So you need the whole valve and meter stuff...
I've done airlocks with contained tanks instead of the method I showed here and .. well .. explosions if you aren't careful. I'd rather build my way, more idiot proof.
@@Rhadamant Nothing wrong with that I guess. Especially if you play with people who simply love to blow up the base. I've played this game roughly twice a year for the past 5 years. I'm glad the devs can stay on this project. It still has a lot of potential to be unlocked. The automation and logic are really cool. I've spent far too much of my life writing absurdly complicated MIPS for AIMEE. I wish there was a better resource sink for the late game though. Looking forward to seeing where they go with it. Especially with the refactoring.
@@Rhadamant It's funny you say that. I reinstalled after I left my previous comment. Finally got a decent start on Europa and then my airlock broke. Tried to fix it and then all the input windows disappeared from the game.
Looking at the development posts on steam, the multiplayer problems are part of why it’s been so long between updates. They apparently used that time to completely redo their multiplayer code, which had the benefit of optimization across the board.
I am aware, but the fact that they shipped a game labeled as 'multiplayer' that had such atrocious code that multiplayer is effectively unplayble is a little misleading. I'm glad they're attempting to fix it, but until I see a stable branch from them I won't count it as something they've done, but only something they've promised.
@@Rhadamant The game is not currently in a full release state. It is expected to have issues, and they themselves admitted that the base they were using for the multiplayer code was not as good as they thought it would be, hence the complete rewrite. It would be another thing entirely if they shipped the game, said “it’s done, here you go,” and then fixed it after backlash like No Man’s Sky. Honestly, if you treat the tags on steam as “this is what the game is intended to have on completion,” it makes more sense. There are always going to be bugs in early access titles, and some things break after other things are added, necessitating massive fixes that were unanticipated at the time they added them. The fact that they took a lot of dev time to actually fix the problem instead of just plastering over it says a lot.

I'm planning on tweaking settings for tomorrow's recording, but yes the game runs terribly. I have a massively overpowered computer and it runs like sludge.
