So good to see you guys back! Great video, much better quality, looking forward to seeing this one progress. Welcome back, thank you for your service! 🏴
Thanks for posting guys! Interesting to watch the process. I'm going through these same steps to remove the body from my 77 Esprit S1 on my channel. I'm super nervous because I don't have a lift.
Just make sure you have a few people to lift it while you guide the body around the front suspension arm and disconnect the steering rack I'll check it out see how you get on 💪👌
@TheDIYTuners thanks, I've read online that some people use a block of wood to wedge in-between the front suspension where it hangs up. Good luck on your projects and looking forward to watching more of your videos, Cheers!
@TheDIYTuners I would advise against galvanising the S1-S2 chassis unless a lot of care is taken due to the heat generated and potential for warping. You fellas need to follow some of the restoration threads on The Lotus Forums. Mine included.
@@TheDIYTuners 75:25 perhaps. I would never powder coat old mechanicals that are exposed to the elements and are complex to renew. I painted mine in Raptor. More factory finish, and easily to touch-up over tome.

I will take a look. Does everybody tend to powder coat them?
