I felt your puffer coat pain! I work at a "seasonal Christmas Show" and 2 years ago I gave myself the homesexual heart attack of life! I'm on my track and it's (thankfully) the number before I have to wig Joseph when I realize his wig is still upstairs at my station in the wig department! Now said department is upstairs another 8 floors up and since the elevators are cued I now fly up 8 FLIGHT of stairs (to the absolute shock of my department head) and fly back downstairs (well actually pant profusely and run as fast as lack of oxygen will permit) and make it on time to wig him and get him out on his cue.......ON TIME! The absolute worst experience of my life but trust and believe ONCE was enough and will NEVER do that again!!! Love you and keep the videos coming!!!
Omg. Your behind-the-scenes rants are the main reason I keep coming here. There's a way the on-stage vitality so depends on what's working and what's not working back-stage. The two things are not separate. I worked costumes only two terms in college and never forgot the excitement of being a part of it all. Those newbies or the ego-heads don't realize--they're the crew, you're the ship.
As someone who makes their own costumes for cosplays I baby my creations. I don't understand actors who are disrespectful towards wardrobe and costumers. Those rude actors should do one day of sewing and see how much work goes into things.
When someone as brilliant as you are at your job at BTTF, flawless day in, day out, show after show, has a “human moment”, people suddenly then realize you are not a robot! As they should! You have unconsciously spoiled them! No matter what is thrown at you, you make everyone else look good.
They are SO LUCKY to have you in that department and on that show!
