GORILLAZ at Malahide Castle, Dublin - 09/06/18

I was very fortunate to see one of my all-time favourite bands perform live! It was actually more of a mini festival than just a Gorillaz concert; Hypnotic Brass, Little Simz and De La Soul played for over an hour each, and the actual Gorillaz show didn't start until way later. There was also a ton of food / drink / merch vendors. It was a fantastic day, great atmosphere, lovely weather, and of course the music was wonderful.
Gorillaz were also joined by Peven Everett, Jamie Principle and Bootie Brown.
This is a collection of footage I got together over the course of the day. I would have gotten more but my phone was dying and honestly, I was too busy white guy dancing to worry about getting all of it. So enjoy this little collection of clips!

Thank YOU for watching. It was fantastic - my first time at a music event of this scale, and I enjoyed every second. It was more of a mini festival, Little Simz, De La Soul and Hypnotic Brass all got over an hour each and then the Gorillaz show didn't start til way later. So it was really just eight straight hours of great music, alcohol and burgers.
I hope you have a great time when you see them because Damon and company are amazing live!

Same for me - I was listening to their whole discography during this college year. 2D and the gang got me through so many stressful projects, and this concert was motivating me to see it all through to the end. So finally getting to stand in a giant crowd and white guy dance to Strobelite like 2D in the music video was definitely worth the wait.
I also love how everyone went nuts as soon as Jack Black came up on the screen, then I heard people screaming "FREE MURDOC" as soon as Ace showed up.
