  • On Jan. 22, 2024, San Diego experienced a storm which caused flooding unlike anything seen here in many, many years. In a few neighborhoods, rising flood waters in and around homes put residents in danger and prevented them from being able to leave safely.
    As with many City Departments on that day, SD Fire-Rescue was inundated with calls for service. Here are just a few rescue stories told by the crews at SD Fire-Rescue Department's Station 12 in Lincoln Park, a dispatch supervisor and a lifeguard sergeant. This is the second of two SDFD videos about the Jan. 22 flooding.
