    Grew up in Montreal, that particular locomotive was in service hauling commuter trains to bedroom communities west of Montreal in the 1950's. It passed back and forth at the bottom of the street I lived on. My Dad took those trains to work each day, and at the end of the day we would go down the street to meet him getting off the train.

    I grew up in a CPR "family" and I probably rode on a few of those cars back in the 1960s when I was a lad. (Maybe even in the cab of that diesel. I rode through a part of Northern Ontario in the cab of The Canadian back then!)
    Proud to see them in such good hape, too.

    Canadian Pacific steam locomotive "Choo-Choo" pulling train madeup of Diesel locomotives, various cars... including Dome Car too!
    Kudos to CP and all the passionate, talented, skilled, dedicated people involved in restoring locomotive and all cars.
    Vital history kept alive

    I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've ever seen F-Units with exposed bearing caps. Doesn't look bad, but it makes my brain misfire a bit.
