Wow, this is perfection!I put coconut milk in everything (even my coffee) and there won't be a day where I don't have maple syrup in my kitchen, so this is a dream come true for me! Lovely video, as always :-)
+White Orchids (whiteorchids23) aw thank you - and yes, this is so easy to make - and if you're anything like us you'll almost always have the ingredients in-house! We keep coconut milk in as with a few spices it can transform simple veg or chicken into an instant 'clean' curry to make any mid-week meal a bit more interesting :) Such a good (and often overlooked) ingredient!
+Totally Sacha So true, coconut milk adds such a special but subtle flavor to any meal, it is one of my favorites for sure :-)
Awesome Sacha! Well done on making a dessert healthier.
+FunFoods Thanks.
this was so great thanks :)
+Wayne Irvine YAY!! So happy to hear you liked it :-)
yummy Sasha !! looks sooo good and delicious :D
Mmmm 😳😧😍 I have to make this! Oh yum I am a peanut butter Junkie lol deelish
+FitAnge S I'm getting that way too :)
Hi Sacha and Minion, OMGooness, it's like you have the key to my taste buds. Crunchy peanut butter would add that tiny crunch to the desert wouldn't it??? I really would make this today if had all the ingredients, and of course the coconut milk will need to be in the fridge overnight. But come Tuesday this will be made, and come Wednesday I will start yet another failed diet. (That's Not an ask for low calorie dishes lol) Much love and big hugz to you both💐🌹💐🌹💐🌹💐🌹xxxxxxxxxx
+Elaine Howard Crunchy would be great!! hahaha... and a diet with this in it, would be fun, surely?? haha :) Hugs xx
Attempted to create it, but accidentally tossed in the coconut milk and not just the meat! Freezing it now and hopefully it will be semi solid for me!
+Megan Minnikin Hehe I sometimes freeze it for 45 mins or so - fingers crossed it worked out ok for you :-)
Great idea- there are so many ingredients that can be adapted into new uses- this looks like something that would be great for something last minute. Just need to have Syd remind us all to keep a can of coconut milk in the fridge!
+Darcy Ashley It's one I pan to explore -- reckon you're right, there's lots of things this could be adapted to :)
hi I hope you can help I love the idea of this but I can't have the coconut milk is there anything that I can swap it for. I am a total fan and love trying these out with my carer who helps me because I'm in a wheelchair and can't lift the pans and pots. thank you x
+Donna Burdett Hi Donna, yeah you can sub it for Double cream. The coconut milk is a dairy-free version, but if you're okay with dairy - that's by far the simplest way to make it a more classic mousse :)
I am definitely trying this one. Thanks.
+Thaneii Now this was far too virtuous for me (Min) - Holly and Becky came around and ate them with Sacha, luckily... so I didn't have to. If I'm going to indulge in dessert - I want it to be an indulgence :) hahahah.... but they were actually very tasty, that said, as I did - inevitably - lick the spoon! haha.
So gonna try this!
Are the ingredient amounts for only 2 servings?
+Santusha Durga Two generous portions, yes. :) x
Would this be able to be stored at room temperature after using in a pie or between cake layers?
+Renee Hiser Ideally it should be kept in the Fridge otherwise it will turn bak to liquid over time - however if you live in colder country where the room temperature is low (like it is in England now), then it should be ok in a cake for a good few hours.
This looks heavenly! Can't wait to try it :D
+Mollie Rose Thanks Mollie - how's the Big Apple treating you? Settled yet?
It's good! Fall is hitting us and pretty soon I'll have to deal with REAL weather (not California seasons haha). I'm pretty settled in! My apartment is almost done being furnished :) How have you been?!
This would not make it in the fridge. I would have to eat it right out of the bowl. Would it be rude to lick the bowl?😄
+Cat Foxx It was just as tasty at the point too :) hehehe and no, not rude at all. Much licking goes on in our kitchen - luckily it rarely makes it to the film :) Hahhaha
easy! so easy!
can substitute honey instead of maple syrup? want to make for a friend and she has some dietary requirements.
+chef kdowg I've seen similar references with agave syrup and honey, I think you could probably do!
+chef kdowg Yep, definitely could.
I might try this with some mango puree cos I'm allergic to peanut butter.
+Maddy James Good idea :) that'll be yummy. You are always so refreshing Maddy. Such a 'can do' attitude! (you'd be amazed at how many people allergic to something seem to seek it out for their own torture!) You're always such a tonic : ) Bigs hugs from us xxx
Totally Sacha :) Well, been allergic to the planet since I was a kid. Pouting about it just leaves me miserable and hungry. Who wants to live that way! Life is hard enough -- no need to make things harder for yourself, right?
so easy and quick to make! excellent treat during the week :-)
+SushiLover1990 It was so simple and so tasty.... gently sweet, and plenty yummy enough :)
OOhhh Sasha....I love the look of this & want to make it ... BUT i'm allergic to coconut! What can i use instead of coconut? or is there no alternative?
+Diana Diana I wonder if you could use the soya cream?
+Diana Diana yes, use cream. Double or whipped.
Totally Sacha Thankyou will give it a go. yummm x
thanks man :)
+Wayne Irvine You're very welcome Wayne. Thanks too for the sub!
is this really fating ?
I'm trying to lose weight ... lol
