Swedish Song - "Obligationsmarschen" [English Translation]

"Obligationsmarschen" - (English: War Bonds March)
The march was written in 1940 by Lars-Erik Larsson and Alf Henrikson to encourage the purchase of war bonds. It became a big hit in Sweden and the melody was later used for the Norwegian song "Norge i rødt, hvitt og blått." Picture. brought colour by Julius Colorization.

Singer: Sven-Olof Sandberg (1905-1974). Music by Lars-Erik Larsson (1908-1986), professor of composition at Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. As a composer, Larsson is best known for his orchestral works but also wrote chamber music, works for piano and romances. He also wrote music for 22 films and also some hit tunes. Lyrics by Alf Henrikson (1905-1995) writer, poet, translator and newspaperman.

The bonds signed in 1940-1942 were a success. The Swedish state received SEK 2.3 billion, which corresponds to SEK 53 billion in today's money value (almost USD 5.8 billion today). The interest rate was 3% for five years. There were a lot of guns and fighter planes for that money.

The line "Kom baroner och täta patroner" should be translated as "Come barons and rich patrons/bourgeoisie"; while "täta patroner" as a verb literally means "seal cartridges", "tät" as an adjective can also be slang for "rich" or "wealthy" while a patron can be both a cartridge or a rich industrialists (same as "patron" in English) and with the context of the rest of the verse speaking about people from all walks of life and society coming together to make a difference I think it's far more likely that they were going for "täta" as an adjective rather than a verb.
It's a grade-A double entendre though, I'll give them that.
