Yes, there are Mexican contributions to food, art, and architecture, but let's talk about California's agricultural economy. That massive industry, at nearly $47 BILLION, relies very, very heavily on undocumented Mexican workers. Those workers are frequently exploited, even at the expense of their physical safety, to say nothing of the dirt-poor wages they receive. That level of pay would never fly with American workers, nor would the sub-par working conditions. Yet, many in this country are targeting those workers, whose labor prevents them from paying $5 for a head of lettuce, because they mistakenly believe these workers are taking benefits from citizens. As it pertains to fake social security numbers, can I just point out that using fake SSN means that one pays into the system, but can NEVER receive the benefits?? So, these people are screwed again.

I went to Mexico with my dad when I was 8 back in the 90s, the ppl are so nice. I had white blond hair then, and there was mexican women wanting to touch my hair and they were so amazed by it. They were also so nice and warm and welcoming.

The Mexican accent is very different in all parts of Mexico. Most people in America are used to the one they hear from people near the border.

I used to be a job foreman for a construction company. Overall, my Mexican workers were better than the white workers.
Mexican workers would show up bright and early and work hard all day. They were sober, honest, respectful and really grateful for the employment opportunity.
The white workers would often show up late, complain and look for ways to goof off. It was almost like they thought they were entitled to preferential treatment, regardless of job performance.
Of course not all whites were bad or Mexicans good; but in general the Mexicans were better.
I wish they would be as hardworking and honest in Mexico as they are when they come to US. Mexico has a serious corruption problem and so other countries in south america, not only politicians and elites but even at the lower levels of society. And doesnt gets better when the best people prefer to go to other country leaving the worst people here.
I can guarantee you that none of your Mexican workers were sober

I wish Conan would've asked Fox, 'what can Mexico do for their citizens so they won't have to leave the country?' Mexico needs to take care of its citizens with healthcare benefits, better salaries, wages, etc., start investing in some human resource programs. That should be the topic of conversation. Start some kind of program where the low income Mexican citizens can get food stamps, government paid housing, free healthcare for the handicapped and senior citizens.
I. Renzi I agree but it's like this the more economical success goes in it goes directly to the upper class not the struggling small middle class all the "growth" is in the south not nearly enough in northern or northeastern Mexico.

German person here, talking about the Berlin Wall: The wall was about 15 km long which would be about 12 miles, I think, maybe a little bit less. Within these 15 km there were 131 observation towers, so one roughly every 120 meters (ca. 150 yards), or so.
Many people trying to traverse the wall have been shot to death in the early 1960s - the years after its construction - because they tried to flee "socialist" East-Germany, not knowing or not caring how utterly serious the regime was about establishing absolute authority.
