  • Taking another trip down the dark side today, this time having a look at Datura, which is a hallucinogenic plant that can cause moderate to severe hallucinations alongside amnesia, confusion and psychosis. It is especially dangerous and I don't reccommend anyone taking it due to the high potential for serious physical and mental damange. Definitely fun to read about though.

I'm not gonna lie or front. I almost went completely psychotic just tripping on LSD. I had a ton of pleasant and euphoric trips before but all it took was one bad memory and a delusion to almost completely fuck up my life irreversibly. I'm doing better now but I lost my closest friend because of that damn trip and I ended up getting HPPD. I'm still extremely bitter about the whole thing, and I at least kinda see why all the drug counselors and PSA's and homeless people who warn you not to do Acid were being dead serious.

👉 I've actually grown Datura Innoxia for several years now, because it's a lovely, super-fast growing plant with lots of large, wonderfully fragrant flowers. Each enormous flower only lasts a day, then wilts, and is replaced by a new one the next evening. It blooms for a ridiculously LONG time, from June through late October! The local wild honeybees love it.
When I first got it, I didn't know what it was. The manager of a local store had been growing it outside the store, and she let me take some seeds home to grow. She thought it was called "Chinese lily", which kinda made sense, because it's flowers look like large Easter lilies. It wasn't til later that I learned it was Datura.
There's another closely related plant I'd love to grow, "Brugmansia". It contains all the same alkaloids as datura, but it grows more like a woody tree than a perineal bush that dies back to the ground every year like datura. Also, it's flowers come in more colors, and they hang directly downwards instead of sidewards like datura.
Either way, I'll NEVER consume either one, because that shiite seems scarier than hell!

experiencing placebo effect. a true trip won't generally start from around 100 seeds or so (like one seed pod)
its atropine and scopolamine mostly these chemicals are active in MG"s not micrograms. 5 seeds does not contain enough to trip from even if the seed was 99% alkaloids and virtually no plant matter...
people get a placebo high from an adrenaline rush thinking they are "tripping" when they aren't.
i've done 450 datura seeds decent potency and lemme tell you i did not hallucinate anything like fairies or demons i just
ended up with a burning throat, damn near blindness, mild overheating, and some drowsiness.

    • @abyssalproductions0
      @abyssalproductions0 2 роки тому +26

The varying potency is not something which has been extensively researched but there are some well grounded theories for this phenomena. There are 3 psychoactive chemicals contained within the datura, which is not a unique plant but rather a classification for a larger group of very similar but slightly different plants. Potency can vary for a number of reasons. The soil content is one factor, a higher level of elements or nutrients may cause more of one of the three chemicals to form. The species comes into play as well for some daturas are more potent than others. Another thing that factors in is the maturity of the plant, it’s said that young plants are more potent, but some also say otherwise. The parts of the plant vary in potency too, seeds are said to be the most potent, but again, a lot of this does not have well based scientific study and is purely speculation. Finally, there is belief that the time of day and the cycle of the moon have something to do with potency as well. The plant is more potent at night than during the day, and it is more potent with the waxing of the moon, for example the night of the full moon would be the ideal time for maximum potency.
Keep in mind there are three psychoactive toxins within the plant and they are not equally dispersed, eg you may have 3x more scopolamine than you do atropine or hyoscyamine. Scopolamine is responsible for most of the hallucinations while the other two are responsible for most of the sensations and pain but they can each cause these to happen. Each of them is fairly deadly as well, I’m not botanist or chemist so I won’t try to say which is what, especially because the potency of datura is not well understood. Research it more if you think it’s interesting, the plant is an incredibly fascinating thing, truly the closest thing to dark magic that our world has to offer. A beautiful but deadly plant, with such a strange allure to it. The darkness which surrounds the plant is palpable, you can literally feel it’s presence. The elegant flowers remain closed during the day, only opening and showing their true beauty at night. Definitely an interesting plant to grow, and fairly easy too, just keep kids and pets away. Animals are drawn to the pleasant fragrance and may try to eat the plant

I did have terrible dry mouth and even though I drank tons of water, it was hard super hard to pee. Two people I gave the seeds to did have weird trips, and one of them was terrified but he had never even smoked and I shouldn't have given him the seeds when he asked for some. My point is even though some people go to dark places, this isn't the norm.

Also, the fact that most people remember their trip like flashes of consciousness, make me suggest that your brain is so damaged at the point where you ended tripping. Wow, if this isn't the biggest flashback ever! See, I used to be a big jimsonweed fan! So much so that some friends jokingly called me King Jimson:) Reason I stopped is that although I know no way to trip harder, jimsonweed is extremely dangerous!!! In so many ways too! Raises blood pressure so high, it is very easy to have a stroke or heart attack. May cause permanent psychosis, including organic brain syndrome. Just a few of the little fatal physical concerns. The trip is very dangerous, because you are acting out a dream. Think about all the things you dream about! Would you want them all, in a way, to come true? The only problem with trip reports such as this, is that they make the idea of trying it sooooo tempting! Now, to a few horror stories. Saw a girl remove a piece of her scalp, knife in other hand. Walked into the room with a big smile, showing it to me. "Look Sam! It's so cool!". Fortunately, her scalp was reattached, or so I hear. That was in the early 80s. Despite this, I continued to use jimsonweed, thinking I was pretty good at this game. One trip later, and I was in the hospital, completely psychotic! Worst part is how clever you can be in this complete insanity! Remembering a movie, where a guy escaped from some institution by jumping into a laundry hamper, I got a plan. Almost worked. Skoped out the exit door. Remembered the bus route from the hospital. Noticed someone moving a hamper on wheels into a room close by. Asked the piceman watching me if I could go to the bathroom. Had to pee. He agreed, but walked in after me. Told him I probably can't pee if anyone watches me. He nodded, and left. So I did pee, though it was very difficult. Afterwards, walked to the door and pressed my ear against it. Heard the cop talking to someone, and said he would be right back. Quickly I cracked the door open, seeing an old cop talking to some pretty girls. Very carefully walked past him, down the hall, and turned the corner. Opened the door to that room. Opened the hamper. It was full of medical waste, including bloody sheets and bandages. I entered the hamper, and wrapped myself in them. It smelled awful, but that made me laugh! Started hearing yelling everywhere. Heard someone saying, " where could he have gone!". All kinds of clatter. Finally, many people came into that room. I huddled in the bloody mess. Heard someone say they just couldn't believe this. Suddenly the hamper opened. I laid still. Cop started to close the hamper, but opened it again, and poked around with knight stick. He saw me and turned away. " Guys, you gotta see this!" I was busted! Laughed and said, " OK, you got me! Pretty God though, huh? So they had to clean me up. Skipping some details:) Asked a cop when I could go home. He said it largely depends on when I start acting normal. This I did, sitting on a exam table, don't know how long. My mom came, and they advised that I might need a facility. I played it real cool, answered their questions and went home. Caught some shit, but responded well, though still tripping for 2 weeks! Never tried that again! This is the scary truth!

One of the problems with datura is it time releases. It tastes so bad people don't chew it up. They swallow the seeds whole to avoid the taste, and it time releases, leading to 3 day trips.
Also, it is a genuine halucinogenic. There is no reality to cling to. Like with acid when a street lamp turns into a UFO. You can remember it is just a street lamp and you are tripping. On datura an hallucinated person can enter the room and be treated as real then followed into traffic or an oncoming train. And the trip is a stupid one, not the kind where entities show you the workings of the universe.
Datura was more of an ordeal drug. Like the way deliberately experiencing super painful bullet-ant stings are a right of passage ordeal in some indigenous South American tribes. Just stay away from it.

He was completely out of his mind, dragging a ladder into the middle of the room, climbing up it with a frying pan, then proceeding to try and catch the eggs he saw falling from the ceiling. Idk why my ex was so obsessed with stories of my dad, my dad was an actual nightmare who has given me a lifetime of trauma, but he loved stories of my dad. After I had a baby I left my ex and he spiraled for awhile. He ended up married to this insane chick while hooked on heroin. She was absolutely bat sht crazy & even put him in the hospital with stab wounds. His retaliation was to ignore her and take off after saying some cryptic dark sht. After a particularly bad fight he left, shot up & ate a bunch of datura seeds. It was a mess. I had to hide it from our child, not knowing if he would make it. Thankfully he’s good now.

      All I can say is
      Wait
If ur unsure abt taking psyches u won't have a great time
Of course there's always some nervousness but u absolutely NEED to be in a safe environment
For starters I'd recommend a micro dose of shrooms I'm not too educated in the different types but shrooms definitely work wonders in small doses
By small I mean 0.5 to 1 gramm
It's very mellow if in the right environment
Get yourself some friends or a single one just to trip sit

I used to fuck with benadryl. Can't imagine what a naturally occurring deliriant is like. While I was on benadryl my hallucinations were closer to one's called true hallucinations. Completely believing I was talking to real people, that my mom had come in my room and I had hugged her good night, I had felt every single thing as so real and believing it was so. It fucks with your head in the way that you don't know what's real or not
