What a sweet beautiful stinky boi. 😻 They're so friendly and awesome pets and even great wild neighors. He has his own little chef's hat with his name on it!! 😻
Because we're best buds!!! And, because he is descented, so he can no longer spray. Interesting fact though...in general skunks don't like to spray. Spraying is their main defense, and once they spray, it can take them days to regenerate the full amount leaving them vulnerable. They give you lots of warning signs such as raising their tail and stomping their feet before actually spraying you. Listen to their non-verbal cues :)
@@AdventurousHeartRachelNagle ok cool.. one more ?.. it seems gdrom the videos they're more unruly than cats, is that accurate?.. And how are they bathroom trained?
@@lewjones3 Yes, skunks can definitely be more unruly than cats. You are right that I would compare a skunk more to a cat than a dog. Skunks can be cuddly when they want to be, but sometimes they just want to be stinkers and explore! As far as the bathroom, skunks naturally want to go to the bathroom in corners, so if you get a couple corner style litter pans for their cage, they are pretty good about using it. Surprisingly easy to litter train a skunk!!!
@@lewjones3 Skunks aren't domesticated, like dogs - so you basically have a wild animal that can be quite docile and tame, but still has all of its instincts and isn't really as dependent on humans as domesticated animals. You can see this in the video: the dogs are way more focussed on their owner while the skunk just continues doing its own thing. That independence means the skunk will often follow its own rules, which may contradict yours. You can apply that to all species that haven't undergone thousands of years of domestication.
Well would you rather him being in the bathroom? It's a part of owning animals that they want to be where you are so if you don't like it than don't have animals
Confused…we never said we didn’t like it. At the end of the video, we made Marv a chef’s hat and had him help us cook a “balanced meal.” This video was made in good fun with the animals. I agree, they do follow you around and we embrace that. Yes, they also go into the bathroom: ua-cam.com/video/MyYtQbRkoVw/v-deo.html Life with animals is fun, and we have fun with their antics 😉

it would be nice to have some out in space -well they had monkey and a dog -why not a monkeydog [aka] skunk
LOL...a monkeydog! It took me a second but the way Marv climbs and follows me around the house, I can see this name being fitting!
@@AdventurousHeartRachelNagle ya the first time i hear it -was in a movie when some kid call a skunk one -i thing it was a black and white movie
