Thank you Charles. Im Serbian. 🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸 Dont underestimate us or any contries outside US.
We always say. What we experience in one month some people (especially US) don't experience in their lifetime.
Anyone who know or talk to us know what we experience in last century (wars, NATO bombing, embargo, poverty, gazillions of crisis). Im just talking about my country.
Paul Pierce, Gilbert Arenas are typical examples of ignorant Americans who didnt travel anywhere outside of US beside some glamours tourtist places.
    KG WAS REAL.
AND by the way we are, despite that, one of the nicest and most welcoming people out there.
But dont mess with us. MORRIS twins learn that the hard way. Markief tried to mess with our guy JOKIĆ, and he got the taste of that "SOFT EUROPEANS" shit. 🤣🤣🤣

@dreamerspro is completely correct. Only someone who is ignorant and a tourist would utter statements made by Paul Pierce. I assure any American (any person) who has travelled abroad would not lump numerous cultures of people, who didn't grew up outside of the United States as only weak or tender. Pierce was either making a off color joke, or truly has no clue about the world we all live in.

Though xenophobia has been around for a long time, the word 'xenophobia' is relatively new-our earliest citation is from 1880. Xenophobia was formed from a brace of words found in ancient Greek, xenos (which can mean either "stranger" or "guest") and phobos (which can mean either "flight" or "fear")

Bro... Pierce is the typical American (no everyone but....).This foreign player are coming representatives their country's. They can not act up or they will put down their country and they will be labeled as problem maker etc. It mean that they have more to lose them than American. You don't see any of the American athletes that play overseas on other sports acting up we do here

I’m glad you took on this topic. U.S. always think we’re the center of the world and most people don’t even travel outside of their city or state, but they always wanna claim how hard and tough they were brought up or the things that they went through! Some of players from other countries are from War torn countries. They don’t even have infrastructure to have a viable living. They have to work on farms for basic things that we take for granted. They have water issues, a lot of the countries governments put the regular people in such oppressed states of living! But just because we are emotional and overly aggressive over something like sports they’re going to call these people soft it’s ridiculous. They couldn’t last three days in some of these countries. I think I sent you a message before saying people always find a way to emphasize our differences and gravitate towards our similarities.

Top talent in Europe is developed under very strict professional Academies from top clubs (RealMadrid, FC Barcelona, etc.), so discipline and professionalism with the territory. This so-called "tough street dude" attitudes would not be allowed, they would be kicked out. Trust me, I grew up in those Academies.

@DREAMERSPRO hey Charles, you hit that shit on the head! I was in the Navy from 75-95 and have been to various countries during that time period! One thing I never did was disrespect the people or their culture and I always went to 'the hood' to see where the real folks lived! As you may know Naples, Italy is the home of the Naval fleet stationed in the Mediterranean so I've been there plenty of times! France, Germany, England, Spain, even been down in the Caribbean and South America! Those folks live hard! Paul Pierce came across as you said as someone that ain't been no where and I believe that alot of American athletes think that European and athletes from other countries live some type of privileged life but alot of them don't. KG let him know though!

There are *generally* less brawls and shit and low-level players utilized almost purely as "enforcers" in FIBA, true, so players that came up in that system are usually more focused on intimidating through sheer skill than "tough guy" kind of BS, and that's hardly a bad thing.

But garnet using entitlement on the fact that he didn't like it .made it sound as if it ain't true. As someone that lives outside America, when Americans come to my country they say anything to un-American for example in America it'd netter than what ever we offer.

I’m from the Netherlands, I think we’re kinda soft. Pretty low crime per capita, especially violent crime. Fairly socialized so there isn’t a lot of struggle for necessities, and we’re not very hands on involved warring and not in our country besides a short occupation during WW2, and then it was a few days of battle before waiting it out peacefully. There are some pro fighters and tough aggressive people, but I think it’s a lower rate than many other countries.

Sarbonis was another guy who came to the nba too late, he was good but age took its toll and we never saw in the nba what made him amazing in Europe.
